Base Game & Features
Eternal Dusk is a 5-reel, 4-row Video Slot with a High Volatility rating, 30 fixed pay lines, and varying bet sizes between £.€0.20 and £.€60 per spin. The game’s other attributes include an overall RTP of 96.06% and a generous max win cap of 10,000x your bet.
Wins occur when 3-5 identical symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. The 5 High-paying symbols are responsible for wins between 0.8x and 20x your bet while Low-paying symbols deliver between 0.4x and 4x your bet. Wilds substitute for all paytable symbols.
Wild Surge
In the base game, the Wild Surge Feature can be randomly triggered. Once active, 3-10 Wilds with Multipliers of x2, x3, x4, x5, or x10 are added to the reels. When part of a win, Multiplier Wilds will apply their value before being applied to the win. If 2 or more Multiplier Wilds are part of the same win, their values are added together before being applied to the win.

Xtra Bet
Activating the Xtra Bet will increase your current bet by 50%. With this feature active, you are 3 times more likely to trigger the Free Spins round. (96.14% RTP)
Fast Track
- Wild Surge: 40x your bet
- Free Spins: 100x your bet
- Super Free Spins: 500x your bet
Burst Mode
Exclusive to all Slotmill games, Burst Mode is an advanced form of AutoPlay that uses the same game engine and logic, but at a much faster pace. You can deactivate Burst mode at any time and the result of the session will be displayed after the last round ends.
Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins mode, awarding 5 Free Spins and 3, 4, and 5 collected Scatters respectively.
In this round, a special Golden Roaming Wild becomes available. Regular Wilds that transform into Golden Roaming Wilds will move to new positions between spins but do not carry Multipliers.
The Multiplier Meter tracks the progression of the Free Spins stages. Each stage is activated by the collection of Scatter symbols, awarding an additional +5 Free Spins and an upgraded Multiplier.
- Stage 2: Requires 6 Scatters to award 5 Free Spins and a x2 Multiplier
- Stage 3: Requires 9 Scatters to award 5 Free Spins and a x4 Multiplier
- Stage 4: Requires 13 Scatters to award 5 Free Spins and a x8 Multiplier
- Stage 5: Requires 17 Scatters to award 5 Free Spins and a x16 Multiplier
Once a stage is complete, the Stage Multiplier is added to all Golden Roaming Wilds across the reels. Each Golden Roaming Wild collects all other Roaming Wilds in view, adding its Multiplier to them.
The new Roaming Wilds are then removed from view with the next spin, while the combined Multiplier carries over to the next stage. If a Super Scatter lands during this time, +2 Free Spins and an additional Golden Roaming Wild are awarded.
Super Free Spins
Triggering the Super Free Spins round requires 1 Super Scatter and 2 regular Scatters to land in the base game.
During this round, 2 Golden Roaming Wilds are persistent on the reels and share the same Multiplier. Both Golden Roaming Wilds move to new positions before each spin. Landing 3 or more Scatters awards an additional +5 Free Spins in the current stage.

Our Verdict
We love the gothic themes. Thunderkick’s Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle, Pragmatic Play’s Vampy Party and Hacksaw Gaming’s Immortal Desire stand out as prime examples, yet we dare say that Eternal Dusk is more appealing than all of them.
Suffice it to say that it could just be the bias of an emo phase extending well into adulthood, but we think Slotmill has done a fantastic job in crafting Eternal Dusk to be quite immersive, and simple but greatly effective with its gameplay mechanics.
The Base Game of Eternal Dusk isn’t overwhelming with features, but its Wild Surge capabilities put you on the edge of your seat, wondering when it might imbue the reels with Wilds that take the excitement to the next level.
Like many others, Eternal Dusk is a much better slot if you’re in territories where some buy features are allowed. This allows for some of Slotmill’s niche mechanics, like the Burst Mode and some of its buy options to jump straight into the action.
The Free Spins mode and its roaming wilds reinforce our belief that sometimes simplicity is best. Slotmill aren’t the pioneers of roaming wilds, so you can’t commend them by saying it’s particularly innovative on their part. You can however give them kudos for the way in which they’ve executed it, and the multipliers and Super Free Spins that make it more appealing than it already was.
Overall, Eternal Dusk is a must-try from Slotmill. It ticks a box for every kind of player in our opinion.
