Nolimit City has gone for a very light-hearted theme this time around. Aesthetics are generally pleasing with hills and details typical of that of a farm. The game features some pleasant sounds and good music, however, nothing really to write home about here in terms of design.

We know that the ladies and gentlemen over at Nolimit City have imaginations that know no bounds, but again, it does feel a little like the game has modelled itself on Fat Rabbit.

But at the end of the day, gameplay is the most important thing after all.

Bonus Bunnies is a 4×4 grid with 30 set paylines. The stake can be as low as 0.20 or as high as 100 catering for all types of players.

Various vegetables make up the 4 top symbols and low paying symbols are your typical A, K, Q, J, 10, and of course, Wilds are present in the game which will substitute for all but bonus scatters.

Non-UK players can benefit from a bonus buy feature for 60x your stake.

The Base Game

As previously mentioned, Bonus Bunnies works on 30 paylines, and a combination of 3 or more matching symbols on any of these paylines will form a win. Winning combinations pay from left to right.

The game features an attractive Bonus+Wild feature. Wilds are your best friend in the base game. If a wild symbol and a scatter, represented by a Rabbit, land on any of the reels simultaneously then the hungry rabbit will hop over to eat the carrot, and wilds will expand vertically on the reel it landed on.

If 2 or more bonus symbols land, then the Wild will expand horizontally as well as vertically, setting you up for some very lucrative hits.

Carrot Link Spins

In Bonus Bunnies, 3 or more scatters are needed to trigger the Carrot Link Spins. In this bonus, the scatters that triggered the free spins will turn into a carrot, displayed as a multiplication of your stake.

The grid is once again 4×4 and will spin with additional carrots potentially filling in the empty spaces, if none fill a gap, then a ‘life’ is lost.

3 spins where no carrots or enhancers fill the gaps will conclude the bonus. All multipliers obtained during the bonus will add together and the payout will be your stake multiplied by that amount.

The following Enhancements, which appear as various different rabbits have the potential to fill a space on the board, and will perform the following functions

• Harvester – The Harvester will collect all visible wins and sums the total as a multiplier on itself. This will then add to the total multiplier to be calculated on conclusion of the bonus.
• Fertilizer – The Fertilizer adds its own multiplier to all other visible wins.
• Settler: The Settler will add another row to the bonus reel set, transforming the board into a 5×5 grid, which will allow for additional multipliers to fill their spaces.

A chest is present on top of the grid in bonus games. If all but one space is filled, then the last space will be reserved for a key to unlock the chest.

You will get 3 spins for a chance to land the key. If the chest is unlocked, then it will reveal a multiplier of 3x, 4x or 5x which will take the total multiplier accumulated thus far, and multiply it by one of these amounts. Free spins are then concluded.

Our Verdict

Bonus Bunnies is a bundle of fun, suited to gamers using any platform due to the functionality of the game on Computer and Mobile casinos, and a nice addition to their portfolio. The volatility of the game is medium, and definitely isn’t as explosive as titles we’ve seen before, but it still has the potential for those huge hits.

The base game symbols have a little bit of a low payout on their own, but it keeps things interesting with its Bonus+Wild feature, which is a great way to keep consumers captivated, and will be healthy for your balance when you’re trying for that bonus.

The bonus round is really exciting and the presence of extra multipliers and enhancements that can materialise really keeps you on the edge of your seat. The bonus can sometimes leave you a little disappointed when you run out of lives with a disappointing multiplier.

Those of you that have played money train will recognise the familiarity in this bonus, but will definitely enjoy the refreshing and light-hearted twist that Nolimit City have created.
