Fish ‘Em Up Slot
Fish ‘Em Up Slot Review 2023
Games Global partner Snowborn Games is back with another interesting addition to their innovative collection of slots, in Fish ‘Em Up!
Snowborn Games are the geniuses behind titles like Cat Clans, Peaky Pigs, and Masters of Valhalla, which won the hearts of many for multiple reasons.
Stunning visuals and sound effects are all part of the package with a Snowborn Games slot, but what’s different here to Pile ‘Em Up aside from the obvious change in scenery?
Let’s play on and find out!
Fish ‘Em Up Base Game and Features
Fish ‘Em Up is a 5-reel slot with 20 fixed pay lines. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
The minimum bet available here is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€50 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.11% and a max win cap of 5,000x.
In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Fishing Rod, followed by the Purple and Green Bait, and Float. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, and Jack. Wilds substitute for all other symbols except Fish, Scatters, and 1Up symbols.
During the base game, special Collect symbols will appear only on reel 5.
Once a Collect symbol lands in view, it will collect the total amount of all Fish symbols present on the reels, which is then multiplied by the value on the Catch Booster.
Fish symbols will land with random Cash Values between 0.2x and 50x your current bet.
Sitting atop the reel set is a special Catch Booster with a number of random Multiplier values.
Each time a 1Up symbol lands in view, it will automatically boost you to the next available Multiplier value on the Catch Booster, up to a maximum of x10.
After the Multiplier has been applied to any collected Fish symbols, it will reset back to x1 in the base game. During Free Spins, the Catch Booster multiplier does not reset.
If a Shell symbol lands on top of a Fish symbol, it will trigger the Bonus feature. Once active, the Bonus feature will award 3 Bonus spins and an empty grid.
During the Bonus feature, if a Fish or Prize symbol lands anywhere on the grid, it retriggers the Bonus feature with an additional +3 Bonus spins.
Also during this time, Mini, Midi, Maxi, and Mega Jackpot Prizes are in play. If during this time Fish and Prize symbols fill the entire grid positions, the Mega Jackpot Prize is awarded
- Mini – Awards 30x your current bet.
- Midi – Awards 100x your current bet.
- Maxi – Awards 500x your current bet.
- Mega – Awards 5,000x your current bet.
All Prize symbols will be collected into a special Meter referring to each Prize Level. All collected symbols are then removed from the grid, and any symbols that trigger a win will remain on the grid until the Bonus feature ends.
If at any point 3 of the same Prize symbols land in view, the corresponding Prize will be awarded. All Prizes won are paid out at the end of the Bonus feature.
Fish ‘Em Up Free Spins
Landing 3 Scatter symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10 Free Spins.
During Free Spins, each 1Up symbol that lands in view will increase the Catch Boost multiplier. When you reach the x4, x7, and x10 Multiplier marker on the Catch Boost, you will be awarded an additional +5 Free Spins respectively.
Fish ‘Em Up Bonus Buy
Those outside the UK will benefit from a Bonus Buy option. Snowborn Games has granted players access to the Free Spins round for a total cost of 70x your current bet.
Fish ‘Em Up: Our Verdict
Fish ‘Em Up is another fantastic installment from a Provider that has become a lot more recognized for their talents within the iGaming community.
With a few minor changes to the theme, Fish ‘Em Up shares many similarities in gameplay to that of Pile ‘Em Up, but that was to be expected given its title.
Like its sibling slot, Fish ‘Em Up is one of those where you can sit back, relax and let the game do its thing as if you were actually in a peaceful place, fishing in the sun with a cold one.
Is Fish ‘Em Up as good as Cat Clans or Masters of Valhalla? Possibly not, but if you loved everything about Pile ‘Em Up then you will appreciate Fish ‘Em Up and all it has to offer.
Choosing between Pile ‘Em Up and Fish ‘Em Up might be made easier by the differences in statistics. Pile ‘Em Up is capable of up to 7,500x whereas Fish ‘Em Up is only capable of 5,000x.
Although there is an overwhelming number of fishing-themed slots on the market, we think you can find room for one more!
