Midnight Marauder Base Game and Features

Midnight Marauder is a 6×6 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 5 or more of the same symbol types either Horizontally or Vertically.

The base game in Midnight Marauder leaves little to the imagination, with nothing exciting jumping out at us, but Relax Gaming rarely disappoint and has thrown in a Collect & Multiply feature to deliver some much-needed thrill to an otherwise tedious base game.

Midnight Marauder Collect & Multiply Feature

The Collect & Multiply feature is activated when 5 or more of the same symbols form a winning combination.

Once triggered, the winning cluster will be collected and swapped out for a Money Bag with a Multiplier that equals the number of symbols collected so far. The Money Sack will take up 1 position on the grid, activating Respins.

During Respins, it is possible to add more symbols to the Money Bag by landing symbols from the same colour group adjacent to the Money Bag. With each new winning cluster or symbol, the Multiplier will increase by +1.

In addition to this, there is also the possibility during this feature to activate multiple Money Bags in the same Respin. If multiple Money Bags of the same colour are collected, at the end of Respins they will automatically come together and be Multiplied against each other.

Any Scatter symbols that may appear during Respins will automatically be collected and held in a box on the right. If you are unable to reach the required Scatters to trigger Free Spins by the end of Respins, the collected Scatters will disappear.

Midnight Marauder may not be as visually pleasing as Space Miners, but once you get a taste of what’s on offer here, this soon becomes an insignificant detail.

It’s easy to lose hope during the base game, given its slightly dull gameplay and basic symbols, but the Collect & Multiply feature is well worth sticking around for. The Collect & Multiply feature triggers frequently and has the potential to deliver some incredible big hits, right here in the base game.

Although the Free Spins round is just as entertaining, there is certainly room for improvement. The sleeping Cop and the peeking robber have no real use other than to further the visuals, which is a shame considering how their animations could be easily construed as an imminent feature. We can think of a few things that Relax Gaming could have done with them, which would have spiced things up a bit.

In terms of statistics, Midnight Marauder has an above average RTP of 96.19% and an equally impressive maximum win capacity of 30,000x!

Overall, It’s safe to say that Relax Gaming has hit the nail on the head with this one. Midmight Marauders may look rather plain at first, but it’s deceptively good and potent with potential.
