bumblebea Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Okay so I'll begin. 4 years ago my now ex introduced me to the world of gambling. The casino type. Had never set foot in a casino or betting shop, nor played online. It wasn't my world. It never appealed. I worked in a pub at the time and the regulars would be chatting about their wins and placing bets on horses, football etc. I would see people come in and empty the fruit machines, day in day out, I didnt get it. And I would think to myself what is the appeal? 2014. I went to a casino for the first time. My ex had played for years and to me it seemed interesting enough. He would talk about his wins, his losses and I remember saying okay I'll pop a tenner in and give it a go. If I lose. That's it. But that's never the case is it? So I would say the whole casino outing became part of our social thing! Obviously we would have a meal a few drinks and make a night of it. I never gambled with more than I could afford. Never been a big better, played some tables but the slots are the one. I won't play more than a £1 unless I'm way in front. Even then money goes too quick so I always pace it. Nowadays I rarely go land based and if I so I leave my card at home and just take what I can afford to lose. Hard but it's a learning process.
Shaun Orr Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 That's exactly the way to gamble Bumble with what you can afford to lose. I used to watch my mates pile loads of money in the fruit machines when i was younger while i was either playing pool or snooker and of course i followed suit and had to have a go. One of my best memories was in the local snooker hall playing a fruit machine with one of my mates, we must of put about £40-£50 in each, but he got a phone call off his girlfriend to go pick her up and i carried on and about £2 maybe £3 later i hit the jackpot (£250). i rang him up straight away to rub it in hahaha he was not happy. To this day i rub it in, he doesn't gamble much anymore though as i think it still hurts. I also don't play any fruit machines in pubs and clubs anymore as online is so much more fun for me but also love the odd trip to a land based casino though.
Guest Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 I still get as much enjoyment out of playing £5 jackpot fruitys as I do online. Just to hear the coins drop to the bottom always gets me excited. I may put 20 quid in to get the jackpot but seeing a fruity flash go all the way always excites me.
Jordantheconqueror Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 My dad always use to go in to bookies and my dad and I use to go to the local club and I use to sit with him while he picked a horse bet and eventually I would pick one to and he would put it on and we would go halves on any winnings also while we were there they had a cops and robbers slot machine and I used to stand with him while he put a few quid in it That's what's mainly got me in to gambling
