Different players can be betting different amounts, and differing titles and still be in the same battle. The 'battle prize' that you can see at the top of the screen is what YOU will win if you come first at that point (so it goes up - and occasionally slightly down - depending on what's happening). Your power to attack is based on your win as a multiple, meaning that someone betting 10p and someone betting £5 can still get the same 'power' although the battle prize will be different for each 😉
