FruitySlots Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Given the upcoming Gambling Review to be held we want to hear your views on some of the proposed changes and general view towards gambling safely on UK sites. Do you think that the government should continue making changes to Slot games online such as removal of “Buying the Bonus Feature,” “Turbo Spins” and the potential reduction of Slot Spins to a maximum of £2? If UK based slot games became less entertaining would you use a VPN to continue playing on other sites based abroad. We need your views, from real slots players, to help the government make the best decision for players, government and UK based operators. Nakedfish85 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 I personally don't think reducing the max stake is a bad thing (in isolation of the fact you can still do bonkers stakes on roulette etc. that's an issue in it's self), given the nature of actually wanting to guarantee that I could take the money out hassle free I would probably err on the side of caution in regards to playing with a VPN. I can however see that the YouTube/switch (lol) space will just turn into mainland EU players playing bonkers stakes, and you guys would be better complying and doing £2 (I very rarely bet higher than 20p so £2 still seems high to me), that being said, I would still rather watch you guys because it's more about you being relatable folks rather than the stake of your bets. Fego7787 Posted October 5, 2021 Posted October 5, 2021 I will be going down the vpn route if they reduce the max stake to £2, they have already ruined the experience enough as it is, I play around the £4/£5 mark to maximise any wins, taking away autoplay almost sent me to vpn but the stake will push me over the edge for sure. theconvenor Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 If you have multiple accounts - this now marks you out as a problem gambler and you will go onto a register so that Gaming Companies can monitor your behaviour. https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/news/article/an-update-on-the-single-customer-view-industry-challenge Quote
terrysmivv Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 For me reducing the maximum bet is much better. It can really save money. In addition, I see no problem playing in some online casinos using vpn. Quote
Mark z Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 There is a better way to vett problem gambling but having said that it will not stop me playing £2 stake. VPN it's not an option as you will never cash out. It took me 2 months to withdraw 20k from casumo! imagine the documents I had to send, when I got a mortgage few years back I didn't provide as much honesty. Keep the live streams and the content coming fruity gang. Excellent content as always. Much appreciated. Keep it fruity Quote
ElisSmith Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I agree with what the other members said about using VPN since you would be registered playing in a different country and could not cash out in the UK. This got me thinking though, could you travel and cash it out in the country you're registered to? Removing some features of the games as well like bonuses would make the games boring. Do they want the people to stop playing at online casinos? or are physical casinos affected as well? I hope they rethink their decision since the benefits of doing this is unclear. Anyway hope everyone is having a great day! Quote
