Id say the music if the music's shit you just get bored to easily especially if the base game isn't doing anything its the music that keeps you playing

i never have the sound on when I play so sounds and music are irrelevant to me. Of course a gettable bonus and one that has potential to pay big are essentials but i also like when they make an effort in the base game-mystery bonuses, surprise features etc. Some games are such a grind in the base game and all you are doing is praying for the bonus-yes I'm looking at you Rick and Morty!

I’m a game nerd/did my degree in game development so for me it’s about well working mechanics.

A good example of simple but effective game mechanics is in Esquelito Explosivo 2, the way the skulls match and explode and fill again is nicked from Gonzos Quest or something similar but the mechanic about locking the multiplier with wilds in the bonus hooks you and provides something different that can lead to massive wins.

Winning huge, look at Dead or Alive 2 shit game boring as fuck, crap music and mostly crap bonus but very popular due to huge wins. 

For me I like games I can play in the background that I don't lose much in the base game that are nice looking with nice music but can produce magic now and then.

Base game :Free spins with multiplier and possibly bonus feature too (leaves player hitting one or both )we all know ya don't stop till ya hit both to see there results.

Graphics and music need to be eye and ear catching .

Clear graphics, good music, and rewarding bonuses is a good slot in my opinion. Colors shouldn't be a pain to my eyes since i'll be staring at the game the whole time.
