Dungeons and Diamonds Slot Review 2022

Dungeons and Dragons anyone? Well, not quite, but perhaps its even better than that.

Dungeons and Diamonds sounds much more lucrative, but you’ll still need to be wary about the dragons within. Regardless of the danger, we’re heading straight into the lair of the beast for those shiny, shiny coins that we’re all so fond of.

Microgaming partner Pear Fiction Studios are the brains behind this particular instalment. You might remember them from titles like 15 Tridents Swift Hits or Squealin Riches Lock N Win, but if you don’t then perhaps Dungeons and Diamonds will be a fine introduction to this imaginative provider?

Dungeons and Diamonds Base Game and Features

Dungeons and Diamonds is a 5 reel slot with 40 fixed paylines. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbol types from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.

Pear Fiction Studios certainly know how to spoil us, and has done so by including not one but two exciting Features in the base game. More on these below.

Collect Symbols

During base game spins, Green Gems can land randomly on reels 1, 2, 3 and 4, with each one having its own unique Cash Value between 1x and 25x your current bet. These Green Gems are worthless unless you land any of the Collect symbols on reel 5.

  • Collect – Awards the total value of all Green Gem symbols.
  • Multi Collect – Awards the total value of all Green Gem symbols and Multiplies the total amount by the awarded Multi Collect Multiplier, up to x5.
  • Respin Collect – Locks all Green Gems in their positions and awards a free Respin. Once the Respin is complete, the total value of all Green Gems is awarded.

Wicked Wizard’s Jackpot Feature

In additon to the Collect symbols, also present on reels 1, 2, 3 and 4 is Jackpot symbols.

If a Jackpot symbol lands, the 5th reel will spin longer in hopes of landing any of the Collect symbols. Once this happens, the Wicked Wizard’s Jackpot round will begin.

During the Wicked Wizard’s Jackpot round, you will met with 20 individual Gem Pouches. Continue to pick Gem Pouches until you match 3 of the same Jackpot Prizes.

The Jackpot Prizes up for grabs are as follows.

  • Mini – Awards 50x your current bet.
  • Minor – Awards 100x your current bet.
  • Major – Awards 500x your current bet.
  • Grand – Awards 5,000x your current bet.

Just a friendly note, Jackpot Prizes are not Multiplied by the Multi Collect symbol.

Dungeons and Diamonds Respin Collect Feature

Dungeons and Diamonds Free Spins

Landing 3 Scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5, triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 8 Free Spins.

During the Free Spins round, additional Gem, Jackpot and Collect symbols are added to the reels, increasing your odds of hitting Dungeons and Diamonds maximum win potential.

Landing additional Scatters during this round, awards extra Free Spins.

Dungeons and Diamonds: Our Verdict

Bringing to life the popular Dungeons and Dragons board game is no easy task, especially when this 1974 fantasy game itself is enjoyed by many, but has Pear Fiction Studios made D&D fans proud? Dungeons and Diamonds certainly lives up to its title in the theme, but it just feels like Pear Fiction is holding back on us in terms of creativity. Admittedly, the sleeping Dragon is a really nice touch.

The feature that surrounds the Collect symbols is pretty neat, but again this is nothing we haven’t seen before, and maybe even done better. If you’re looking for a shred of fun in this featue, the best you can hope for is to land the Respin Collect symbol, which locks in all Green Gems and offers you a Respin in hopes to land bigger and better Cash Prizes.

Now it wouldn’t be a Pear Fiction Studio slot without a cheeky Jackpot Bonus round, and this one even has a slight tongue twister title of its own. The Wicked Wizard’s Jackpot feature gives players the chance to walk away with 1 of 4 Jackpot Prizes. Although the Grand Jackpot looks incredible, the chances of actually bagging yourself the 5,000x is probably very slim, but definitely not impossible.

Dungeons and Diamonds has a bang on average RTP of 96.00% and a standard maximum win capacity of 5,627x. For the average player, this maximum win capacity is sufficient, but if you’re used to the extreme potential in a Nolimit City slot for example, then you might want to avoid this one.
