Bones & Bounty Base Game and Features

Bones & Bounty is a 6-reel Video Slot with 4,096 ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols (or 2 or more of the Highest-paying symbol) land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.

The minimum bet available here is £.€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.16% and a max win cap of 25,000x.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Captain, followed by the Compass, Binocular, Hourglass, and Map. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten, and Nine. Wilds substitute for all other symbols except Scatters.

Stacked Respin Wilds

Alongside regular Wilds, special Stacked Respin Wilds can land randomly on the reels in the base game. These symbols will occupy 2, 3, or 4 reel positions, locking into place, and triggering a Respin.

If 1 or more (up to 4) Stacked Respin Wilds land during a Respin, +1 additional Respin is awarded. Please note, Wilds and Stacked Respin Wilds cannot land on the leftmost reel. At the end of Respins, all wins are calculated and awarded.

Bones & Bounty: Cash Bonus

Landing 3 Bonus Scatters in the base game or during the Stacked Respin Wilds feature triggers the Cash Bonus, awarding 3 Free Spins.

During the Cash Bonus, the reel set transforms into special reels containing the following Multiplier symbols.

• Cash Coin – x1, x2, x3, x5, and x10.
• Persistent Payer – x1, x2, and x3.
• Multiplier Cash – x1, x2, and x3.

The reel set will consist of 6 reels and a Ghost Reel (Multiplier reel) on the far right of the reel set, with a starting Multiplier value of x2. Each time a new symbol lands on an empty position, the Free Spins will reset back to 3, triggering a Shift which causes all current symbols to move 1 position to the right.

Ghost Reel

All symbols present on the Ghost reel will be multiplied by the Reel Multiplier. Each Cash symbol will be returned to a random reel position on the reel set. Cash Coins can be placed on top of another Cash Coin symbol which will add both their Values together.

Persistent Payer

Persistent Payer symbols that reach the Ghost Reel will increase all Cash symbols by their current Value. Persistent Payer symbols will activate in a particular order (top to bottom), adding their Value to all symbols in the reel set and the Ghost Reel (including other Persistent Payers).

Multiplier Cash

All Multiplier Cash symbols that land on the reel set (prior to shifting) will increase the Ghost Reel value by its own Multiplier and transform into a Cash Coin symbol of equal value.

At the end of the Cash Bonus, all Cash symbols will be added together and applied to the total win. Please note, that pay wins do not apply to the Cash Bonus round.

Bones & Bounty: Our Verdict

Thunderkick are well renowned for their gripping features and interesting themes, along with quality graphics and appealing sound effects, but what did we really think of Bones & Bounty?

The Pirate theme isn’t exactly an unusual choice for slots, nor is it one that Thunderkick hasn’t tackled before in Shifting Seas, but it’s what goes on between the lines that makes games like this one stand out from the crowd.

Thunderkick has retreated back to similar gameplay seen in Shifting Seas before this, and it could well just be a coincidence that both games have Pirate themes, or maybe not.

When we say similar gameplay, what we mean is the Shift mechanic has resurfaced for a second time in Bones & Bounty. Unlike Shifting Seas, you only get to see the Shift mechanic in action during the Cash Bonus round which pushes Cash and Multiplier symbols towards the Ghost Reel.

Hold & Win rounds have become the norm in slots, so it seems, but Thunderkick has put their own unique spin on it to ensure that it stands out from all other Hold & Win slots on the market, and they’ve succeeded.

The Stacked Respin Wild is a little trickier to come by, and understandably so when there’s a great deal of potential that can come from it. On a good day, Bones & Bounty can deliver max wins of up to 25,000x. This figure isn’t anything to scoff at and is a huge leap from the max win cap in Shifting Seas!
