Extra Juicy Megaways is ‘Extra Juicy’ in name, but first impressions of it aren’t that juicy. If anything, the graphics look a little bit lacklustre, and if you’re the sort of person who loads up a slot and has a think about it based on how it looks alone, then you might just find yourself closing Extra Juicy Megaways down.
We’re not ones to judge (too harshly) on a slot based on looks alone, so while we’re unimpressed from the get go, we’re delving in with an open mind and we’re hopeful that Extra Juicy Megaways might change our minds.

Extra Juicy Megaways is a 6 reel slot with up to 117,649 Ways to win. In additon to this, Extra Juciy Megaways also has a Pay Anywhere mechanic. This means you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbols in a line either Horizontally, even if the winning combination does not begin on the left-most reel.
Extra Juicy Megaways features Tumbling Reels. Each time a winning combination is formed, all winning symbols will disappear and new symbols will tumble down from above, filling all the empty spaces on the reels and possibly creating even more winning combinations.

Ante Bet
Before you start playing, you will have the option to activate the Ante Bet feature.
Activating this feature increases your bet amount by 25%.
Once the Ante Bet feature is active, you will have an increased chance of landing the Free Spins round, with Scatter symbols appearing more often that not.

Landing 4, 5 or 6 Scatters in any position on the reels, awards 12, 16 and 20 Free Spins respectively. There is a possibility of landing up to 42 Scatter symbols in the Base Game, with each additional Scatter awarding +4 Free Spins after the 6th.
Before your Free Spins can begin, if the intial trigger awarded between 12 and 20 Free Spins, you will be given the option to Gamble your Free Spins for more. Choosing to Gamble your Free Spins can result in losing all your spins and returning back to the Base Game, so be sure to choose wisely.

The awarded Multiplier is then applied to all winning combinations for that Free Spin.

Extra Juicy Megaways Our Verdict
If you’re a huge fan of Pragmatic Play’s Starlight Princess and Gates of Olympus, you will no doubt notice the striking similarities in the Free Spins round.
But why choose this when you can choose a Japanese Princess, or the gods themselves? There’s not a lot of reason really, unless you like to keep it old-school. Granted, they’re not Megaways games, but we can’t really see why it matters too much in this instance.
Extra Juicy Megaways being a Megaways slot certainly isn’t enough on its own to make it anywhere near as good as Starlight Princess or Gates of Olympus. Win potential is the standard Pragmatic Play 5,000x value, and just about everything else is as predictable as ever.
Pragmatic Play are great, don’t get us wrong, but it really does seem like they just pump titles off of the conveyor belt as fast as possible, which results in games that just aren’t built to impress.
Extra Juicy Megaways has got plenty of potential, if that’s all that you’re after. But really, Extra Juicy Megaways is bang average in our eyes, and there’s no real reason why you should choose it over any other slot.
