Goblin Heist Powernudge Slot Gameplay

Goblin Heist Powernudge Slot Review 2022

Brace yourselves for another Powernudge extravaganza, but watch out for the cheeky and mischievous Goblin, in Pragmatic Play’s latest release, Goblin Heist Powernudge!

Pragmatic Play has delivered more than their fair share of new releases recently, with Goblin Heist Powernudge being one in a long line of new releases to join their portfolio, but is it any good?

In terms of design, if Pragmatic Play were trying to terrify us then it’s completely backfired. The title Goblin Heist makes you think that Pragmatic Play are joining the dark side along with other Providers, when actually it’s more rainbows and unicorns in our opinion, and nothing  like Nolimit City’s Evil Goblins xBomb.

Although the design isn’t very intimidating, Goblin Heist Powernudge still has a few tricks up its sleeve so you won’t want to shy away from this one just yet. The Powernudge feature first made an appearance in Rise of Giza in 2021, which quickly became a success with players.

Will Goblin Heist Powernudge be able to recreate the success that we saw in the first? Let’s play on and find out!

Goblin Heist Base Game 1

Goblin Heist Powernudge Base Game and Features

Goblin Heist Powernudge is a 5 reel slot with 10 fixed paylines. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbol types in any position on the reels. The minimum bet available here is £/€0.20 (£/€0.25 Ante Bet) per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€100 (£/€125 Ante Bet) per spin, with other options in between the two.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Goblin Heist Powernudge is the Goblin, followed by the Man and Treasure Chest. Low paying symbols fall to the Goblin Head, Horn, Map and Skeleton Key. There is also a Mystery Money symbol present, which appears on all reels.

Pragmatic Play are not one to shy away from a feature or two, and so it’s no surprise that Goblin Heist Powernudge has a couple for you to enjoy, although they aren’t the best we’ve seen. More on these below.

Ante Bet

Before the fun can begin, you will be given the option to activate the Ante Bet feature on the left side of the reel set.

Activating the Ante Bet feature will increase your current bet by 25%, but you also double your chance of triggering the Mystery Money Respin round by increasing the amount of Mystery Money symbols that land on the reels.

If you choose to activate the Ante Bet feature, please be aware that the RTP drops slightly from 96.47% to 96.44%.

Powernudge Feature

Each time a winning combination lands in view, at least 1 of the winning symbols will automatically Nudge down one position, revealing a new symbol from the top whilst all other reels Respin. Once the Respin is complete, all new winning combinations (if any) will be paid.

The Powernudge feature will continue until there are no more winning combinations on the reels.

Goblin Heist Powernudge: Money Respins

Landing 6 or more Mystery Money symbols in any position on the reels, triggers the Money Respins round. A lot like Push Gaming’s Razor Shark, the Money Respins round has an unlimited amount of Respins, so long as there is a Mystery Money symbol in view.

During the Money Respins round, the reels will transform into blank spaces, remvoing all High and Low-paying symbols and leaving Mystery Money symbols in play.

At the top of the reel set is a Multiplier unique to that particular reel, starting at 1x. After each Respin, the Mystery Money symbols will reveal one of the following.

  • Money Value – A random Cash Value between 0.1x and 50x your current bet, minus the Ante Bet increase included.
  • Local Multiplier – A random Multiplier of 1x, 2x or 3x which is added to the coressponding Multiplier at the top of the reel.
  • Global Multiplier – A random Multiplier of 1x, 2x or 3x which is added to ALL Multipliers at the top of the reels.

After each reveal, all present Mystery Money symbols that have a Money Value attached to them will be Multiplied by the multiplier above the reel they reside on.

The Mystery Money symbols will then transform back to their original state and will continue to Nudge down until there are no more Mystery Money symbols visible on the screen. If the maximum win capacity of 4,000x is reached, the Money Respin round will end and all remaining Respins are forfeited.

Goblin Heist Powernudge Bonus Buy

For those outside the UK, you may benefit from a Bonus Buy option.

The Money Respins round can be purchased for a generous 100x your current bet.

The RTP when purchasing the Bonus Buy option remains the same at 96.47%.

Goblin Heist Powernudge: Our Verdict

We were admittedly a skeptic of the Powernudge feature when it first arrived in Rise of Giza, and a fair few times we were humbled by its ability to do big things…when it wanted to.

Despite being wiser than we were in the beginning about the ability of the Powernudge feature, we still can’t say that we’re entirely sold on its overall appeal.

There’s a few patented slot features that make the list as some of the best, but is Powernudge one of them? Not really, or at least Pragmatic Play hasn’t properly unlocked its potential yet. Nolimit City and their ‘x’ features has the ability to exponentially increase the potential of the slots they feature in, and Megaways titles continues to stand firm as a favourite among fans for many good reasons.

If Goblin Heist Powernudge had a couple of added bells and whistles which made it capable of more than 4,000x then it may even turn heads. That’s not to say that 4,000x is a measly figure, but Pragmatic Play in particular seem reluctant to evolve with the times, which is, of course, an increasing demographic of players who favour high volatility action and insane win potential.

We suspect Goblin Heist Powernudge will humble us once or twice once it releases, it’s a capable game after all, but we stick to our guns when we say that we think Pragmatic could do with upping the ante a little bit.
