Games Global partner Nailed it Games is wasting no time in carrying on from a previous title, in Gold Mine Stacks 2!

Games provider, Nailed it Games show no signs of slowing down as they bring out a sequal to their beloved Gold Mine Stacks that released in late 2022.

Other than a few adjustments to the design and Bonus round, Gold Mine Stacks 2 is eerily similar to the original, but will these changes be enough to win the hearts of players? Let’s get diggin’ and find out!

Gold Mine Stacks 2 Base Game

Gold Mine Stacks 2 Base Game and Features

Gold Mine Stacks 2 is a 5 reel slot with 20 fixed paylines. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.

The minimum bet available to players is £/€0.20 (£/€0.25 Bonus Bet) per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€40 (£/€50 Bonus Bet) per spin, with plenty of other betting options in between the two. Gold Mine Stacks 2 has a theoretical RTP of 96.07% and a max win cap of 50,000x.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol here is the Red Gem, followed by the Purple, Green and Blue Gems. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen and Jack. Wilds substitute for all other symbols except Scatters.

Bonus Bet

Before you can begin spinning, you will have the option to activate the Bonus Bet.

Choosing to activate the Bonus Bet will increase your current bet by 25%, but with that comes one advantage. Once the Bonus Bet is active, your chances of triggering the Bonus round is Doubled.

Wild Stacks Respins

During the base game, landing a full stack of Wilds on any of the reels, triggers the Wild Stacks Respins feature.

Once active, the stack of Wilds will become sticky and all other reels will begin to Respin. Respins are awarded until no additional stacked Wilds land on the reels.

During this feature, the Gold Mine Stacks Bonus cannot be triggered. If the Wild Stacks Respins feature is triggered at the same time as the Bonus round, the Wild Stacks feature will play out first.

Gold Mine Stacks 2 Super-Lives Gamble

Gold Mine Stacks 2 Bonus

Landing 3 or more Bonus Scatters across the reels, automatically triggers the Gold Mine Stacks Bonus round. The Gold Mine Stacks Bonus is a Hold & Win style round where you will be given 3 Lives rather a number of Free Spins.

Before the round can begin, you will be able to try your hand at the Super-Lives Wheel, where you can earn extra lives to restore your depleted ones during the Bonus round.

On the wheel sits so many X and Heart segments. Landing the cursor on a Heart segement awards an additional Super-Life (up to a maximum of 2), but landing the cursor on an X segment means the Gamble has been unsuccessful and you return to the base game empty-handed.

At the start of the Bonus round, a special Randomizer will pop up on the screen that randomly boosts one of the available Bonus Prizes, up to 20x your bet.

Landing a Safe symbol on the Randomizer will trigger the Super Gold Mine Stacks Bonus. During this time, all bonus prizes are boosted up to a maximum of 20x your bet. Each time a new bonus prize lands on the reels, it will reset the Spins Counter to 3.

The round will begin on Level 1, and each time a reel is filled with 3 bonus prizes, you will proceed to the next level, up to a maximum level of 16. Each time the round levels up, so do the bonus prizes.

Reaching Level 16 in this round will automatically award the Maximum win of 50,000x.

Gold Mine Stacks 2: Our Verdict

Although we’ve met our quota of Hold & Win slots thanks to iSoftBet and their extensive collection, we’ve definitely got room for Gold Mine Stacks 2.

When we look at sequals, its hard not to have high expectations, but with so little time to pass between the original and this one, did Nailed it! Games manage to pull it off?

Other than the design, the base game hasn’t changed much, if at all. The Wild Stacks Respins feature that appeared in the first has made an appearance in the second, but there are no major changes worth mentioning.

There was definitely an element of surprise during the Bonus round, which says a lot about a Hold & Win slot given how repetitive they usually are.

At its best, Gold Mine Stacks 2 is capable of a whopping 50,000x, which certainly says to us that Nailed It! Games has indeed nailed it.
