Gold Party Slot Review 2022

Gold Party from Pragmatic Play partner Wild Streak Gaming is one of their first to grace us in 2022, but is the provider off to a strong start with this release?

Pragmatic Play are one of the biggest in the industry for good reason, but their lightning quick release schedule seemingly results in a few sub-par slots here and there. Gold Party certainly sounds like the kind of party that we’d love to attend, but is it as good as it sounds?

Let’s check it out together in this Gold Party Slot Review

Gold Party Base Game

Gold Party Theme

If you haven’t already picked up on it yet, the layout of Gold Party is strikingly similar to its sibling slot Big Juan. We think it’s safe to say that Wild Streak Gaming has a particular style they like.

The background in Gold Party is definitely one with nature, an array of lucious green scenery can be seen along with a mix of tall tree’s and colourful flowers. A chirpy Leprechaun can be seen stood proudly on the left side of the screen, but other than this there isn’t particularly a whole lot to look at.

The music playing throughout is happy and chipper, tieing in nicely with the Irish theme. The sound effects that can be heard are magical and work well along side the music.

Overall, Gold Party could have been a lot more appealing on the eye but that doesn’t mean its a lost cause. The theme may be one we’ve seen time and time again but will Gameplay bring something new to the table? Lets find out!

Gold Party Base Game and Features

Gold Party is a 5 reel slot with 25 fixed paylines. In order to form a win you will need to connect 3 or more (or 2 or more of the highest paying symbol) from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.

Gold Party has a Copy Reels feature. This may not sound as thrilling as previous features we’ve seen in other slots, but it definitely holds a lot of potential. More on this feature below.

Copy Reels Feature

During any random spin in the base game, landing a full stack of the highest paying Leprechaun symbol on the first reel, triggers the Copy Reels feature.

Once this happens, the Leprechaun symbol will automatically copy itself to one or more of the remaining reels, up to all 5 reels.

Gold Party Money Respins

Landing 6 or more Money Pot symbols in the base game, triggers the Money Respins feature, awarding 8 Free Spins.

The Money Pot symbols can appear in two forms. Single Money Pot symbols account for 1 symbol, whereas Double Money Pot symbols account for 2 symbols and can appear on all reels in the base game.

The Money Respins round is played out on 4 individual screens, which are already fully unlocked. All Money Pot symbols that triggered the Money Respins round are scattered between the four screens. Each time a new Money Pot, Extra Spin or Multiplier symbol lands in view, it will be locked into position and will remain there for the duration of Respins.

During the Money Respins round, only 3 special symbols are present.

  • Money Pot symbols – All Money Pot symbols that land has a unique Cash Value attached to them.
  • Extra Spin symbols – Each time an Extra Spin symbol lands, you will be awarded an additional +1 free Respin.
  • Multiplier symbol – When a Multiplier symbol lands in view, it will reveal a Multiplier of either x2, x3, x5, x10 or x25. The Mutliplier will then be randomly applied to one of the Money Pot symbols on any of the 4 screens.

Jackpot Feature

During the Money Respins round, the Jackpot Prizes become active.

Each of the four screens will have either the Mini, Minor, Major and Grand Jackpots above it.

  • Mini Jackpot – Awards 20x your current bet.
  • Minor Jackpot – Awards 50x your current bet.
  • Major Jackpot – Awards 200x your current bet.
  • Grand Jackpot – Awards 5,000x your current bet.

In order to bag yourself the corresponding Jackpot Prize, you will need to fill the entire screen to be awarded that particular Jackpot.

If the maximum win capacity of 5,163x is reached, the Money Respins round will end immediately and all Respins are forfeited.

Gold Party Bonus Buy

For those outside the UK, you may benefit from a Bonus Buy option.

This can be purchased for 100x your current bet.

The RTP when purchasing the Money Respin feature remains the same at 96.50%.

Gold Party Our Verdict

Gold Party can produce some exciting moments, but if you were to summarise it into one word, it would be ‘mediocre’

Depending on the accompanying features, the Leprechaun/Irish theme can either be welcomed like an old friend, or disregarded as a generic and boring theme. Sadly, the features within Gold Party just aren’t strong enough. Gold Party tries to be a little bit different with its reel configuration and how 4 reel sets may be active, but it wouldn’t be the first to attempt the feat.

Gold Party can be okay if you’re more of a classic player who prefers a more straightforward experience, but if you’re looking for a new and imaginative twist, then you won’t find it here.

We suspect that many with load up Gold Party to be welcome by the Pragmatic Play logo, and they’d be forgiven for being hopeful about what’s to come considering some of the quality titles they’ve released before. An abrupt disappointment may await some of those, because Gold Party just doesn’t have the makings of a great slot.
