We’re returning to the bamboo forest to revisit the Pandas in Panda’s Fortune 2 from Pragmatic Play!
Panda’s Fortune 2 is a sequel to a game of the same name released in 2017.
Panda’s Fortune had lucrative and sought after jackpots with Minor, Major and Grand Jackpots, and it looks as if the sequel follows suit with much of the same.
Panda’s Fortune 2 naturally has many similarities to its predecessor with an Asian theme and calming and serene music.
The main difference here is how much more defined Panda’s Fortune 2 is. To some, 2017 doesn’t seem too long ago, but in what could be considered a relatively short time, you can easily see how significant the graphical quality is in comparison.
The Giant Panda has become embedded deeply in Chinese Culture as a symbol of peace and friendship due to their calm demeanour and friendly culture. It’s certainly the case that he’s your friend in this slot as an integral part of claiming that Panda’s Fortune.
The Asian themed game may not be considered particularly innovative due to the concentration of them out there, but the beauty of the culture and the impact it has never seems to dissipate.
Pragmatic Play keep in mind every player when they make their games with many different stake options.
The lowest bet available in Panda’s Fortune 2 is £/€0.25, and the highest option available is £/€125. There’s many different options in between, so Panda’s Fortune 2 is viable to all.
When it comes to the symbols, the highest paying symbol is the Butterfly. Following on from the Butterfly is the Lion, Frog, Koi Fish and Bonzai Tree. Low paying symbols are A, K, Q, J, 10 & 9, and the Panda is a Wild Symbol.
The Panda will substitute for all symbols except for the Scatter, and he’ll appear on reels 2, 3, 4 & 5.
Panda’s Fortune 2 has 5 reels and 25 fixed pay lines.
In order to form a winning combination, you’ll need at least 3 symbols to match from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.
The rewards for full lines in Panda’s Fortune 2 aren’t too significant, with an 8x reward for a line of the top Butterfly Symbol.
Thankully, Panda Wild Symbols often appear stacked and this can make up for it.
You’ll also notice that some of the symbols appear Gold on each spin in Panda’s Fortune 2. This is the Golden Symbol Feature.
All paying symbols except for the Bonus feature may have a special golden version which can appear on every spin.
These symbols can pay out in combination with their regular counterparts, but will award additional prizes as well.
For any golden symbol in a 5 of a kind winning combination, a random amount of your total bet is awarded
The possible values that you may be awarded is as follows:
For each Golden Wild in a 3 or a 4 of a kind winning combination, a pay out of 3x is won. High value Golden Symbols part of a 3 or a 4 of a kind winning combination will award 2x, and low value Golden Symbols part of a 3 or 4 of a kind combination will award 1x.
3 or more Bonus Symbols anywhere in view trigger the Free Spins in Panda’s Fortune 2, and 12 spins are awarded.
Scatter Symbols also pay.
The Free Spins has a progressive feature. Every time a Golden Symbol lands, the place where it landed is marked and will remain golden until the end of the feature. Only golden symbols may land on the golden spots thereafter.
3 or more bonus symbols will re-trigger the game, awarding 8 extra spins.
Having guaranteed golden symbols will undoubtedly help in your pursuit for bigger wins, but you’ll still need 5 of a kind wins to get the truly miraculous wins.
Panda’s Fortune 2 is significantly better than it’s predecessor, but in hindsight there’s really not a lot to be overly excited about.
The maximum win is Pragmatic Play’s go-to favourite figure of 5,000x, which makes it technically as capable as any of their other games, but it’s just not too exciting. The RTP of 96.51% makes it look a little bit better. This figure is well within the range considered average or decent by players.
The Golden Symbol feature sounds very exciting, but you’ll need both a Golden Symbol and a 5 of a kind win in order to see anything decent from it, and the same can be said for the bonus.
It’s easy to think that the bonus for Panda’s Fortune 2 has something in store for you on the last spin when you collect the golden spaces, but nothing happens. You’re truly reliant on marking the spaces and then collecting a 5 of a kind win. 3 or 4 of a kind only offers 3x and 2x for high and low symbols respectively, which is nothing to be excited about in the slightest.
Wild Symbols are your best chance of seeing this feature, but it doesn’t happen often enough unfortunately.
Overall, Panda’s Fortune has certainly built upon the original with significant changes for the better, but the overall experience is highly forgettable and woefully un-exciting.
Panda’s Fortune is relatively low thrills, but its capabilities give it some excitement.
