Base Game & Features
Archdragon King is a highly volatile video slot with 5 reels, 3 rows, and up to 1,024 ways to win. Winning combinations occur when 3-5 identical symbols land on adjoining reels, starting from reel 1.
The Golden Chest is the highest-paying symbol, followed by the Book, Claw, Horn, Ring, Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, & Clubs. After a spin is complete, each winning combination awards a fixed payout between 0.2x and 15x your bet. Additionally, Dragon Wilds can appear on reels 2, 3, or 4, substituting for all symbols as part of a win.
Gold Coins & Dragon Evolution
The Dragon Evolution Bar above the main reel set progresses in 3 Stages. So long as there are still Dragon Wild stages available, Gold Coins will appear in the bottom-left corner of any symbol on the reels. Each Gold Coin is collected into the Dragon Evolution Bar.
- Stage 1: Requires 30 Gold Coins to activate. Once active, the Dragon Wild expands to 1×2 and reveals a x2 Multiplier, remaining in sight for 1 additional spin.
- Stage 2: Requires 60 Gold Coins to activate. Once active, the Dragon Wild increases to 1×3 and reveals a x3 Multiplier. Additionally, after triggering a win, the current Multiplier increases by +x1 for an additional spin.
- Stage 3: Requires 90 Gold Coins to activate. Once active, the Dragon Wild transforms into 1×4 and reveals a x4 Multiplier. After this, Scatter symbols are added to the reels to trigger the Free Spins mode.
Once all 3 stages are complete, the Dragon Evolution Bar is removed, and the top symbols are revealed, increasing the number of win ways to 1,024. Once the size of the Dragon Wild increases, it will always appear on the reels in its current size.
Archfire
Randomly, when the Dragon Wild is present on the reels without a winning combination, it may ignite reel 2, 3, 4, or 5. Once a reel is ignited, it will clone its symbols to the leftmost reel, without covering the Dragon Wild.
Archdragon King: Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters anywhere on the reels triggers the Free Spins mode, awarding 7 Free Spins. For every additional Scatter after the 3rd, the game awards a further +2 Free Spins.
At the start of this mode, if the Dragon Wild is not present on the reels, it will appear on reel 3. However, if triggering the Free Spins mode with 4 or 5 Scatters guarantees the Dragon Wild will receive a x10 or x25 Multiplier, respectively.

Our Honest Verdict
Archdragon King displays a visually-pleasing frozen fantasy setting, blending harsh tundra conditions with mythical undertones, high-quality graphics, and an edgy, atmospheric soundtrack that keeps the tension high. Red Tiger has a clear understanding on how to grip its players, with detailed backdrops and slick animations doing much of the heavy lifting here.
That being said, for a game that centers around such a dominant, mythical creature, it feels like a missed opportunity not to see the ‘King’ take more of an active role on the reels, beyond the subtle appearance on Wild symbols. Though opinions vary, ours is that a fuller on-screen presence would have helped elevate thematics further.
Much of the game’s appeal comes from its progressive feature, whereby Gold Coins are collected into the Dragon Evolution Bar to unlock unique Modifiers. Each advancement along the Dragon Evoluton Bar enhances Dragon Wilds, introducing Multipliers and increased reel coverage to maintain longer sessions.
The Free Spins mode is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters, with the number of Scatters directly influencing the number of Free Spins. A standard 3-Scatter trigger starts with an expanded Dragon Wild on reel 3, minus an active Multiplier.
