Base Game & Features
Fang City is a Medium Volatility video slot with a 6×5 reel format, Scatter Pays mechanic, and varying bet sizes between £.€0.10 and £.€100 per spin. Other attributes include an overall RTP of 96.33% and a sizable max win cap of 10,000x your bet.
Wins occur when 7-19 identical symbols land anywhere across the grid, regardless of their positions. Paytable symbols are divided into high and low-paying values, offering a fixed payout between 0.1x and 50x your bet. Each scatter win is removed from the grid and replaced with new symbols directly above, via an Avalanche Feature. This allows multiple winning sequences to occur within a single spin.
Special Symbols & Mystery Reveal Feature
Moon symbols appear with a random value between 1x and 1,000x your bet, with the addition of a Max Win Coin (10,000x). When 7 or more Moon symbols hit, they will award their total combined prize value. Alternatively, Multiplier symbols between x2 and x100 that land on the same spin as a winning combination are applied to the total win.
Special Mystery Moon symbols may also land throughout gameplay. When a total of 7 Moon and/or Mystery Moon symbols hit, the Mystery Reveal Feature triggers. Mystery moon symbols can reveal Collector, Moon Multiplier, Converter, High-paying, and Max Win symbols that award the following functions:
- Converter: Transforms one type of high or low-paying symbol into Moon symbols, with an increased chance for new Mystery Moon symbols.
- Collector: Stores the value of all other Moon symbols and allows them to spin again to reveal new Instant Prizes or Moon reveal symbols. New Collector symbols will gather the total value of previous Collector symbols, but do not spin again.
- Moon Multiplier: Multiplies the value of all instant prizes and collector symbols by x2, x3, x5, x10, x25, x50, or x100. The multiplier symbol will spin again to reveal a Moon or a new Mystery Moon symbol.
- High Value Moon: Landing a high-value moon symbol automatically awards the Instant Prize attached to it, with a minimum of 10x your bet.
- Max Win: Instantly awards the max win cap of 10,000x your bet.

- Push Bet: Increases the chance of triggering the Free Spins feature (1.2x your bet)

Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Bonus Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins mode, awarding 8 Free Spins and a starting Multiplier of x1, x2, x5, and x10, respectively.
When a Multiplier symbol lands with a win, its value is added to the total win for that round. After this, the Multiplier next to the reels is added to the winnings, which is then upgraded by the new value. The total Multiplier is persistent throughout the feature and does not reset. Landing 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 Bonus Scatters awards an additional +2, +3, +4, +5, and +6 Free Spins, respectively.
Our Honest Verdict
From an artistic perspective, Fang City is quite a unique release from Push Gaming. It’s a cyberpunk-style game with urban anthropomorphism and gangland undertones. Some have tried this style before, including Push Gaming themselves with instalments like Samurai’s Katana. For us, it’s an exciting theme, and a welcome change of pace from your generic fishing, wild west or Irish-themed slots that continue to dominate.
Gameplay-wise, Fang City doesn’t really innovate. It’s more of a Gates of Olympus style game, with a couple of Push Gaming touches thrown in for good measure. In the free spins round, it tallies up wins, adds any present multipliers, and then adds on a global multiplier, which is the sum total of all previously added to winning combinations. Coins appear infrequently compared to normal wins, as you’d expect, but are unaffected by the multiplier. It would be nice if they were, but it would perhaps be too capable.
If you’re within territories that may buy the bonus, then you’ll notice it’s pleasantly cheap, and that it also has a not-so-cheap but more exciting super option, which allows players to begin at a 10x multiplier.
Overall, we’d say that Fang City is quite safe. It probably didn’t take a bunch of imagination or effort from Push Gaming, and it wasn’t intended as part of their AAA catalogue. It offers plenty of thrills, but may not satiate the appetite of those used to or with an affinity for more unique slots.
