Lucky Barrel Tavern Slot Review
Belatra Games is back and is inviting you to get your hand at their most recent title, Lucky Barrel Tavern. Lucky Barrel Tavern tells the stories of Hobbits who just like to party. Unlike their unfortunate Lord of the Rings cousins, there’s no trekking into mortal danger into Mount Doom to throw a ring into the fires of Mordor. The quest here is much more simple. Have a belting time and drink, eat and dance the night away.
The game includes eye-catching visuals and many bonus features, including free spins. Lucky Barrel Tavern is unique, set in a tavern where treasures await those willing to spin the reels.
We can not wait to see what Belatra Games has in store. Find out for yourself in our in-depth slot review.
Base Game and Features
Lucky Barrel Tavern takes place on a playing grid of six reels and five rows. Players can experience Lucky Barrel Tavern firsthand with as little as £/€0.20 or as much as £/€100 per spin. If you usually play with a bet between the two, do not worry. Lucky Barrel Tavern has many betting opportunities for you to choose from.
When it comes to forming winning combinations, Lucky Barrel Tavern is unique. Players must land symbols next to each other rather than on the same payline.
The low-paying symbols are the green club, purple diamond, blue spade, red heart, eggs, fish, leg of ham, lobster, and turkey. They pay between 0.05 and 10x the bet, depending on how many you land.
The high-paying symbols are the four hobbits. They can pay between 1.5 and 50x times the bet. Upto 12 matching symbols can land at once. The more you land, the better the payout.
The golden coin is the scatter symbol. Land four or more, and you are on your way to success!
Lucky Barrel Tavern is a highly volatile slot with a maximum win cap of 12,000x the bet. It also has a solid RTP of 96.14%.
Cascading Reels and Exploding Symbols
In both the base game and free spins round, the winning symbols explode, and new symbols appear in their place. The process will carry on if new winning combinations are made.
The 2×2 or 3×3 symbols help increase the chances of triggering bigger scale wins. Keep your eyes peeled for the flying barrel symbol. It can appear on any spin, and when it lands, it replaces non-winning symbols with multipliers.
Cumulative Multiplier
The multiplier begins at 1x and increases to 2x once three or more barrel symbols land. The multiplier holds its value and increases with each win. The bigger the multiplier, the bigger the potential win!
Free Spins
Ten free spins are rewarded once four or more scatter symbols land. Landing three or more scatters during the bonus round will reward five additional free spins.
Multiplier symbols can land with a value of up to 250x, significantly expanding your wins. At the end of each free spin cycle, the multiplier value gets multiplied by the win displayed above the reels.
Happy Hour
Happy Hour starts when six scatter symbols land during the base game. In this feature, multipliers range from two to ten times, and bigger wins are more likely to land.
Bonus Buy Feature
Are you eager to jump straight into the action? The Buy Bonus feature allows players to choose from standard or random and the happy hour feature.

Our Verdict
Heading into our first experience of Lucky Barrel Tavern, we did not know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised, to say the least,
The loading screen is not the most visually appealing, but once the barrel rolls down the hill, everything changes for the better. The playing grid appears, and you are good to go!
Not only does Lucky Barrel Tavern pass the eye test, but the gameplay isn’t too bad either. Every spin is smooth, and there is no delay, which is always beneficial. Nothing is worse than playing a slot that is not up to scratch.
As for the bonus features, they are one of the best aspects of the overall game. From exploding symbols to free spins, we had no complaints – No features are particularly new or innovative, but rather tried and true. The graphics are slightly strange, and not quite as appealing to us as Belatra’s other titles like Princess Suki and Rise of Zeus, but it’s a small gripe in what is otherwise a pretty interesting game.
