Wild Depths Betting and Symbols

Wild Depths has a variety of betting options for players to choose from. For those who prefer a lower stake, the minimum bet available is £/€0.20 per spin. For those who prefer a higher stake, the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.

The highest paying regular symbol in Wild Depths is the Orange Fish, followed by the Yellow Fish and Blue Fish. Medium paying symbols fall to the Snail Shell, the Purple Shell and Starfish. Lower paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten.

Wild symbols substitute for all symbols except Scatters.

Wild Depths Base Game and Features

Wild Depths is a 5 reel slot with 40 fixed paylines. In order to form a win you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbols from left to righ, starting from the left-most reel.

The base game in Wild Depths may across as more of a kiddie pool than the great big ocean, with not a lot of depth to keep you afloat. Thankfully Pragmatic Play has included a Roaming Wild feature which is more than enough to float your boat!

Roaming Wild

Wild symbols will only appear on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. The Wild symbol always carries a Multiplier value of x2 that applies to all winning comibations that contain it.

During the base game, whenever a Wild symbol lands in view, it will remain fixed on the screen for the next spin.

On each paid spin, the Wild symbol will move one position upwards until it leaves the screen.

Additional Wilds that land whilst Wilds are already present, will also move upwards until they disappear from the screen.

Changing bet whilst Wild symbols are in view, will delete them from the screen and the next paid spin will start without Roaming Wilds.

Wild Depths Free Spins

Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters in any position on the reels, awards 6, 9 and 12 Free Spins respectively.

During the Free Spins round, each time a Wild symbol lands in view, a Respin session is awarded. Like the Roaming Wild feature, all Wild symbols on the reels will move upwards by one position with each Respin. Respins will continue until all present Wilds disappear from the reels. 

Each time a Respin occurs, a Multiplier is awarded and will increase by +1 each time. When no more Wild symbols are present on the reels, the Multiplier will disappear.

Landing 3 or more Scatters during Free Spins, will award an additional +5 Free Spins.

If the maximum win capacity of 5,000x is reached, all remaining Free Spins are forfeited and the round immediately ends.

Wild Depths Our Verdict

We’re going to say it, though we wish it wasn’t true….We think Pragmatic Play may have lost their touch slightly, or rather they’ve concentrated so heavily on a hectic release schedule that they’ve neglected to nurture their slots properly.

Granted, Wild Depths has a colourful and serene aquatic atmosphere which is very evidentally popular among punters, but it sort of feels like that’s all it has.

The Roaming Wild certainly has its merits and the Free Spins round proves that it’s a prominent and important feature, even entertaining at times, but it just doesn’t ignite within us the same level of excitement that we’ve felt with previous Pragmatic Releases.

Pragmatic are one of the biggest in the business, but perhaps its time they took a step back to think about what really hits the spot with keen enthusiasts.
