Anna Van Helsing Monster Huntress Slot from Rabcat Games throws you in to a gothic world with only one mission…Hunt Vampires.
Vampire Hunting can be a profitable business so it seems, so we’re coming along with a stake in hand as we stick it to the undead in a game inspired by the characters of the 1897 gothic horror novel, Dracula.
We’re more than ready for the horrors that await in the castle, are you?
Anna Van Helsing Monster Huntress portrays the dark and gothic theme brilliantly.
To the left of the screen you’ll see crypts and to the right you’ll see the doors of the castle with unsightly vampire statue atop the door.
The music does well in making the game even creepier. The soundtrack is nothing short of ominous, and the sounds of the crows amidst an otherwise eerily quiet atmosphere reinforces the scary and dangerous nature of the game.
The actual artwork for the game is pretty superb too. Both the aesthetic visuals and the symbols are very well illustrated.
Top marks to Rabcat for the design here.
Betting options are pretty extensive in Anna Van Helsing Monster Huntress.
The lowest option here is £/€0.25 per spin, and the highest option is £/€150. Rabcat have implemented an annoying ‘Max Bet’ button within the design, which is a little bit dangerous but nowhere near as close to the spin button as some other games.
When it comes to the symbols, the Wild Wolf Symbol is the highest paying symbol. There are also Van Helsing Wilds and Dracula Wilds that serve to trigger features within the game. More on that below.
Regular high paying symbols are the Golden Wolf, Vampire Hand and Book.
Medium paying symbols are the Potion, Locket and Mirror, and low paying symbols are A, K, Q & J.
Anna Van Helsing Monster Huntress Slot is played on 5 reels and 25 fixed pay lines.
In order to form a win, you’ll need to match at least 3 symbols from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.
There are some pretty decent rewards available for connecting full lines in Anna Van Helsing. A line of the Wild Symbol pays 30x, and a line of the highest paying regular symbol pays 18x.
There are also Bonus Features that you can trigger within the Base Game
Landing a Van Helsing Wild on reels 1-3 will trigger the Wolf Howls feature.
The Van Helsing Wild expands to fill the reel and 1 bonus spin is awarded.
The Expanded Van Helsing Wild is fixed during this spin and Wolf Wilds are more likely to appear.
The Wolf attack feature will trigger at random during a Bonus Spin. When triggered, Wolf Wilds will expand to fill the reel.
The Free Spins in Van Helsing Vampire Huntress is triggered by landing 3 Scatter Symbols, and 8 spisn are awarded.
During this feature, all wins are multiplied by 2x.
Within the Free Spins you are able to trigger the Dracula’s Banishment Feature
Landing a Dracula Wild on reel 3 will trigger the Dracula’s Banishment Feature.
The Dracula Wild will expand to feel the reel and transform into a Van Helsing Wild.
The Van Helsing Wild will turn the Book, Coffin, Wolfs Head and Wolf Wold symbols into Van Helsing Wilds as well.
Anna Van Helsing Monster Huntress was made to be dreary and dark, and it’s succeeded brilliantly in doing so.
The only thing that lets the game down is the potential. The maximum win value is 1,500x, which isn’t huge considering the volume of games available that offer much more. That being said, the volatility of the game is medium rather than high, but it could still do with a higher win capability.
Other than that, the RTP of the game looks decent at 96.18%, and the features within the game will undoubtedly grab your attention for a while.
We’d love to see another instalment in the Anna Van Helsing series, but this time with much more to offer in terms of reward.
The potential of Anna Van Helsing is relatively low, but the superb design and entertaining gameplay makes it a viable option for those who prefer the volatility a bit lower.
