Neon Valley Studios are embracing the cold in their newest release, Arctic Enchantress!

Neon Valley Studios is a smaller studio compared to the giants we’ve come to know and love, but that doesn’t mean you should rule them out.

The Link&Win mechanic has certainly be used in more than one slot before, but how does it measure up this time around?

 

Arctic Enchantress Theme

Arctic Enchantress is due to be released in December and even though it doesn’t have a Christmas inspired theme, it definitely fits in nicely with the cold weather!

We can’t help but wonder if Neon Valley Studios got their inspiration for Arctic Enchantress from the childrens movie Frozen, or perhaps it’s just a coincidence. The background shows an ice Castle sat glistening on a hilltop, surrounded by snow covered trees and a beautiful purple sky.

The music playing throughout is subtle and mysterious at first, this soon changes when you get a tease for Free Spins or the Link & Win feature. The sound effects are on point and work well alongside the music.

Every so often the Arctic Enchantress herself will give you a few words of encouragement, some may find this a little annoying but others may enjoy it.

Arctic Enchantress Betting and Symbols

Arctic Enchantress has a variety of betting options for players to choose from. For those who prefer a lower stake, the minimum bet available is £/€0.20 per spin (£/€0.30 per spin with Win Booster active). For those who prefer a higher stake, the maximum bet available is £/€50 per spin (£/€75 per spin with Win Booster active), with plenty of options in between the two.

The highest paying regular symbol in Arctic Enchantress is the Polar Bear, followed by the Wolf, Owl, Rose and Pine Cone. Lower paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen and Jack.

Wild Enchantress symbols substitute for all symbols except Scatters and Link & Win symbols.

Arctic Enchantress Base Game and Features

Arctic Enchnatress is a 5 reel slot with 243 Ways to win. To form a win you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbols from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.

Ways to win are always preferable to win lines, albeit the wins aren’t as big. Ways to win aren’t the only features to experience in Arctic Enchantress though…there’s plenty in the way of exciting features in Arctic Enchantress!

Win Booster

On the left side of the screen you will come across the Win Booster. Activating the Win Booster will increase your chance of triggering the Link & Win feature.

With the Win Booster active, you will only need 5 Ice Orbs to land in view in order to trigger the Link & Win feature.

If you choose to activate the Win Booster, your current bet will increase by 1.5x.

Wild Nudge Feature

During any random spin in the base game, the Wild Nudge feature can trigger.

Once triggered, any stacked Wild symbols partially in view will nudge up or down to fill the reel.

The Wild Nudge Feature is active during Free Spins.

Link & Win Feature

Situated above the reels is the Link & Win meter,  landing 6 or more Ice Orbs will fill the meter and automatically trigger the Link & Win feature. If you’re unable to land all 6 Ice Orbs, the meter will reset for the next spin.

All Ice Orbs award a unique Cash prize.

Once the Link & Win feature has been triggered, 3 Respins will be awarded. Any additional Ice Orbs that land during Respins will lock into position and the Repsins will reset back to 3.

During the Link & Win feature, Jackpot Ice Orbs can be awarded.

During Free Spins, Wild symbols always trigger the Wild Nudge Feature. Wild symbols that land partially in view, will nudge up or down to fill the reel.

Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters during the Free Spins round, awards an additional +10, +15 and +20 Free Spins.

 

Arctic Enchantress Our Verdict

Arctic Enchantress really appeal to those with an affinity towards the Link&Win mechanic, and there’s even a few subtle changes here that makes it stand out from others like it.

The theme behind this one speaks to those with a soft spot for fantasy themes, and perhaps even those who enjoy a disney princess with its likeness to Frozen.

Statistically, Arctic Enchantress is relatively low potential with 3,611x capabilities. This isn’t exactly ‘low’, but its a lot lower than a lot of other slots at the moment.

Overall, Arctic Enchantress is another good offering from Neon Valley Studios, but it’s nothing that will stick in the minds of players for too long.
