Blade & Fangs is a 5+5-reel Video Slot with 243 ways to win active. Wins are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right on either reel set, starting from the leftmost reel.

Multiplier Symbols

During gameplay, Pink and Red Symbols can land across both reel sets. The Pink symbol is available on the top reel set, and the Red symbol can only land on reel 5 on the bottom reel set.

When both Multiplier symbols land simultaneously in the base game, the two reel sets will merge as one and a Respin will be awarded. During the Respin, a Multiplier of x2 is applied to all wins that are awarded.

If a +x1 Multiplier symbol hits, the general Multiplier will increase by +x1. If a x2 Multiplier symbol hits, the general Multiplier will be multiplied by x2. At the end of the Respin, all wins are multiplied by the general Multiplier, resetting the reel sets to 2 separate.

Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters on reels 2, 3, and 4 on both reel sets triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 8 Free Spins and a payout of 2x, 15x, 100x, and 500x your bet respectively. The Free Spins round merges the 2 reel sets, forming a 6×5 reel set.

During Free Spins, a general Multiplier that applies to all wins is active. The Multiplier will begin at x1 which increases by x1 when a +x1 Multiplier symbol lands.

Blade & Fangs: Our Verdict

Blade & Fangs is a little late to the party and would have been a great addition around Halloween. Nevertheless, it’s here now and we may as well make the best out of a spooky situation.

Pragmatic Play has attempted to create a slot that will make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck, but it’s nowhere near as terrifying as Print Studios’ Darkness. The high-pitched screams and scrapes of chains tie in nicely with the theme, but they’re hardly terrifying.

Turning our attention to the reel setup, it’s not that often you come across a slot with 2 reel sets, but it’s an interesting choice on Pragmatic Play’s part.

Every so often in the base game, you’ll witness the reel sets come together when 2 Multiplier symbols land in view. Both Multiplier symbols are uniquely different from each other, one will multiply the value and the other will add an extra +x1.
