Blender Blitz is a cool and refreshing new release from slots provider Relax Gaming, where forming simple winning combinations can lead to massive potential pretty quick. The summer/beach theme has featured in many slot titles before, including Relax Gaming’s Jurassic Party, Pragmatic Play’s Wild Beach Party and Yggdrasil’s Easter Island 2, but how will Blender Blitz fair against these?

In terms of design, Blender Blitz certainly looks the part. The background shows a sizzling hot day at the beach, with clear skies, calm seas, a yacht, beach ball and a rather nosey crab drifting in and out of view. Blender Blitz Base Game and Features

Blender Blitz is a 5 reel slot with 243 ways to win. In order to form a winnning combination, you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbol types from left to right, starting from the left-most reel. The minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€30 per spin, with a selection of bets in between the two.

Blender Blitz features Cascading Reels, meaning that each time a winning combination is formed, all winning symbols will be removed from the reels and new symbols will fall down via a Cascade. Once a Cascade occurs, there is a chance it will create even more winning combinations.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Blender Blitz is the Blender, followed by the Jug and Ice Cubes. Medium paying symbols fall to Cherries, Pineapples and Grapes and Low-paying symbols are Strawberries, Lemons, Oranges and Kiwis. There is also a Wild symbol present, which substitutes for all High and Low paying symbols. Wild symbols will appear only on reels 1, 2, 3 and 4 and will be removed along with surrounding symbols if they are not part of a win.

Blender Blitz has not one but two interesting features up for grabs in the base game, which further adds to players comfort whilst they soak up the sun. More on these below!

Symbol Removal

On the right side of the reel set is a Progression Meter, which shows each of the Medium and Low-paying fruit symbols.

Each time a winning combination is formed with those particular symbols, the resepctive Meter will start to fill. During a Cascade, if 10 of the same symbol types are collected, that particular symbol will be removed from the reels for the duration of the Cascade. Once the cascade is complete, the Progression Meters are reset.

Eliminator Symbol

During any random spin in the base game, you may come across a special Knife symbol on Reel 5, this is also known as the Eliminator symbol.

Once the Eliminator symbol appears, it can either remove one of the Medium or Low paying symbols on the reels or destroy all symbols surrounding it, filling up their respective Meters which contributes towards triggering Free Spins.

Blender Blitz Free Spins

Although Medium and Low paying symbols are collected into the Progression Meter, they also contribute towards filling the Free Spins Meter on the left side of the reel set. Collecting 15 or more Medium and Low paying symbols, triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 5 Lives.

When Free Spins is triggered, the progress you have made on the Symbol Removal Meter will follow you over to Free Spins. Each time a non-winning spin occurs, you will automatically lose a life.

During the Free Spins round, if any Medium or Low paying symbols are removed from the reels, they will remain eliminated for the duration of Free Spins. If you happen to remove all Medium and Low paying symbols from play, you will be awarded a Super Spin. The Super Spin awards a random Multiplier between 10x and 500x to a spin which guarantees a win.

Landing an Extra Life symbol on Reel 5 during the Free Spins round, awards an additional +1, +2 or +3 Free Spin(s).

Blender Blitz: Our Verdict

Blender Blitz may not look like much in terms of design, but once you get stuck into gameplay, it’s actually quite impressive. It’s quite common to see slots that perhaps don’t look all that, but looks can be deceiving and Blender Blitz deserves its fair share of respect.

Blender Blitz is slightly confusing at first, you’ve got tubes coming out of either side of the reel set and a Free Spins sign that looks like a Bonus Buy button..yes it had us fooled too!

Once you get the hang of it though, its a breeze. We like the idea of a Progression Meter rather than Scatters in order to trigger the Free Spins round, but its not as easy as it looks, but the wait is bearable thanks to the Symbol Remover and Eliminator features.

Blender Blitz looks great it terms of potential too, with up to 25,000x up for grabs, but how good is it compared to other Relax Gaming slots?

We wouldn’t quite put Blender Blitz on the same level of some of the other infamous titles, but it’s another good game from a great provider who consistently brings us great slots.

Overall, Blender Blitz may not offer much in terms of visual appeal having adopted the classic fruity appearance, but give it a chance and it may just surprise you.
