The title Devil’s Trap suggests that we are in for a pretty terrifying time, but for those that scare easily, you will be pleased to know that it’s pretty tame compared to what you had envisioned. It is of course a Halloween-themed slot so you can expect a few creepy crawlies, Pumpkins and snakes in teacups?

In terms of design, the background shows a spooky and possibly abandoned fun fair, with an array of stalls, rollercoasters and a few less-than-impressed ghosts floating in the distance. This particular scene is similar to that of Play’n GO’s The Wild Class, but with quite a different story behind it.

Devil’s Trap Base Game and Features

Devil’s Trap is a 5 reel slot with 20 fixed paylines. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbol types land from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.

The minimum bet available to players is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of other betting options in between the two. Devil’s Trap has a theoretical RTP of 96.26% and a maximum win capacity of 10,000x.

Devil’s Trap Free Spins

Devil’s Trap: Our Verdict

With Halloween just around the corner, Providers are quick to jump on board the spooky train in a bid to release their own terrifying slots that will surely scare the socks off its players, but Stakelogic has chosen to keep Devil’s Trap relatively mild in terms of scare factor.

Although Devil’s Trap may not be as chilling as other Halloween slots, we’ve learnt that you should never judge a book by its cover. Devil’s Trap is slightly different to that of other Stakelogic titles in that it doesn’t feature the Super Stake option we’ve gotten so used to seeing in their slots.

The base game can be a little simple at times, but quickly picks up when the Bonus Reel is triggered by landing 3 Scatters across the reels, which can deliver cash prizes, respins and the Free Spins round. The Bonus Reel is the only way in which the Free Spins round can be awarded (unless you have access to the Bonus Buy), so if you’re looking for a slot that guarantees free spins when Scatters land, you may find that Devil’s Trap is not for you.
