As it stands, Four Leaf Gaming are the first to make use of Relax Gaming’s Dream Drop Jackpots mechanic, and the game itself looks as compelling as it is interesting.

Without further ado, let’s dive right in to see what Dueling Jokers brings to the table.

Dueling Jokers Dream Drop Base Game and Features

Dueling Jokers Dream Drop is an 8×8 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are formed when 5 or more of the same symbols connect either Horizontally or Vertically across the grid.

The minimum bet available to players is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€20 per spin, with plenty of other betting options in between the two. Dueling Jokers Dream Drop has a theoretical RTP of 94.00% and a max win capacity of 50,000x.

Dueling Jokers Dream Drop features Cascading Reels. Each time a winning combination is formed, all winning clusters will be removed from the grid and new symbols will drop down from above, filling all empty positions.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Dueling Jokers Dream Drop is the Purple 7, followed by the Blue Diamond and Yellow Horseshoe. Low-paying symbols fall to Green Clovers, Lemons and Cherries. There is also a Joker Wild symbol present which substitutes for all other symbols except Scatters.

Wild Jokers

During the base game, if a Wild Joker symbol is part of a winning combination, it will jump to to another adjacent empty position on the grid before the next Cascade comes in.

Each time the Joker Wild contributes towards another winning combination, a Multiplier will be introduced which will increase by x1. This multiplier is then applied to any winning combinations that the Joker Wild becomes a part of. If 2 Joker Wilds come into contact with each other, they may Duel to boost each of their Multiplier values by x1.

Joker Meter

Each time a winning cluster is formed, it will fill a segment on the Joker Meter.

Filling the Joker Meter will add Wild Jokers to the grid in random positions. After the first cluster win, Wild Jokers will be added after the 4th and the 7th cluster win. If Nitro Spins is active, Wild Jokers are added after the 1st, 3rd and 6th cluster win.

Fortune Coins

Gold fortune coins can land with any of the symbols in the paytable on the grid. Each time a Fortune Coin lands, there is a chance that the Super Spinner feature will trigger.

Fortune Coins are collected and stored in the Game & Fortune tab on the top right of the reel set. These coins can be used to activate or reduce the total cost of the Bonus Features.

In addition to this, Fortune Coins can be collected and spent across all Four Leaf Gaming slots.

Nitro Spins

Clicking on the Game & Fortune tab in the top right corner will reveal certain options for those that are able to access it.

Here you will be able to activate Nitro Spins. Nitro Spins reduce the number of clusters needed to fill the Joker Meter, increases the amount of Scatters on the grid, triggers the Super Spinner more often and increases the amount of Fortune Coins that land.

Activating Nitro Spins will increase your current bet by 50% or you can use your Fortune Coins to play with Nitro Spins for a total cost of 4 Coins per spin. 

Super Spinner

As mentioned before, the Super Spinner feature can be triggered randomly when a Fortune Coin lands in view.

Once active, the Super Spinner Wheel will appear which can award one of the following Prizes.

• Cash Prizes of 80x, 120x, 500x or x5,000x.
• Between 8 and 14 Free Spins.
• A Fortune Maker prize between 10x and 25x.
• Between 10 and 25 free Nitro Spins.

Alternatively, the Super Spinner can be bought using your Fortune Coins for a total cost of 500 Coins.

Jackpot Spin

During any random spin in the base game, the Jackpot Spin feature can randomly trigger.

Once active, the Jackpot Spin is played out as an additional spin before the base game spin. Landing 4 Dream Drop Joker symbols during the Jackpot Spin will activate the Dream Drop Bonus.

Dream Drop Bonus

Once the Dream Drop Bonus is active, 5 Jackpot Prizes known as Rapid, Midi, Maxi, Major and Mega can be won.

All 5 Jackpots each have their own Zones across the grid. During this round, 4 Joker symbols will bounce around the grid until they land in 1 of the 5 Jackpot Zones.

Once a Joker symbol lands in a particular zone, it will fill the zone by 1 segment, and a new Joker symbol is added to the grid. The first Jackpot Zone to have all 4 of its segments filled with Joker symbols wins and its respective Jackpot Prize is awarded.

Dueling Jokers Dream Drop Free Spins

Landing 3 Scatters across the reels in any position triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 6 Free Spins. If you have access to it, the Free Spins round can also be purchased for 600 Coins.

During the Free Spins round, 3 Wild Jokers are added to the reels in random positions. Each Wild Joker will start the round with a x1 Multiplier, which increases by x1 with every winning combination it is a part of.

Each cluster win will fill a segment on the Meter. The meter collection will accumulate throughout the Free Spins round and does not reset. +2 Free Spins will be awarded after the 10th, 20th and 30th winning cluster.

Bonus Booster

During the Bonus Booster feature, you will be able to Gamble all or some of your current Free Spins for a chance to win +1, +2 or +3 extra spins. Use the Slider to adjust how many Free Spins you wish to Gamble. The more Free Spins you gamble, the higher the chances of winning.

Bonus Replay

Fortune Maker

If your total win is over a certain threshold, the Fortune Maker feature will be awarded. Here you will be able to choose how much of your total win you would like gamble with.

During the Fortune Maker round, you will need to release the ball and land it in a winning Green Ring in order to climb up the Prize Ladder. There are a total of 16 Rings altogether, 12 of which are Green (win) and 4 of which are Red (lose).

Each time the ball lands in a Green Ring, the next available prize on the Prize ladder is awarded. If the ball happens to land in a Red Ring, you will return to the base game empty-handed. Dueling Jokers Dream Drop: Our Verdict

Very few new studios stand out in our eyes as ‘ones to watch’, yet Four Leaf Gaming does. Some new studios quitely release a couple of unenthusiastic reskins to get their feet on the ground, but Four Leaf Gaming have hit the ground running in our opinion.

A lot of care went into Dueling Jokers, and it undeniably shows through its striking visuals, upbeat music, quality build and thoughtful features.

There’s a lot to wrap your head around, but that bodes well for those looking for a game with a lot going on. Wild Jokers, Joker Meters, Free Spins, Bonus Replay, Fortune Maker and the Dream Drop Jackpots integration really makes Dueling Jokers a complete package, and the potential would indicate that it’s a game to contend with some of the best out there at the moment.

50,000x is the stated maximum win here, jackpot excluded…But is it realistic? We’re not sure; the game isn’t out yet so it’ll have to prove itself when it releases. Max win or not, we’re sure of Dueling Jokers and its potential, and we even had a taste of what it could do ourselves when we tried it out.

It almost feels as if Four Leaf Gaming took a little inspiration from games like Jammin’ Jars, but built upon it for a more complete gaming experience.

All in all, we can’t really think of anything that we don’t like about Dueling Jokers Dream Drop. The 94% RTP might seem a little low to some, but its Dream Drop Jackpots integration is to thank for that and we’d much rather have that over the extra couple of percent.
