Giant’s Fortune Megaways Theme
The theme for Giant’s Fortune Megaways perfectly portrays a fantasy world, with a medieval lookiunug Castle, Moats and Waterfalls in the background. The design quality of both the landscape and the symbols look extremely high level. Some slots don’t put enough of an emphasis on this important aspect of making a compelling slot, but Touchstone Games and Stakelogic have done well in not neglecting this.
The music for Giant’s Fortune Megaways is a hopeful and adventurous tune which compliments the theme brilliantly, let’s hope the gameplay impresses just as much.
Giant’s Fortune Megaways: Betting and Symbols
The betting options for Giant’s Fortune Megaways are vast, allowing a wide variety of players to have their chance as the Giant’s Fortune. The lowest option available is £/€0.20 per spin, and the highest option is £/€10 per spin.
The stakes may not go as high as some other slots do, but £/€10 seems like a perfectly reasonable stake for a Megaways Slot at least.
Your stake will double if you make use of the Super Stake feature, which serves to shake up the gameplay with extra features, more on that below.
When it comes to the symbols, the Giant is the highest paying symbol. Following on from the Giant is a Chest, a Goblet and a Bag of Coins.
Low paying symbols are Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10 & 9. There’s also a Wild, which substitutes for all symbols except for the Bonus and Scatter Symbols.
Giant’s Fortune Megaways: The Base Game and Features
Giant’s Fortune Megaways adheres to what most peoples idea of a standard Megaways Slot is with cascading symbols and up to 117,649 ways to win.
To form a win, you’ll need at least 3 symbols (or 2 of the giant) to connect from left to right, starting from the left most reel.
Each reel may hold up to 7 symbols each, and reels 2-5 has a sliding reel. Winning symbols on the sliding reel are removed, causing the remaining symbols to slide left which may result in more winning combinations
Wild symbols in Giant’s Fortune Megaways has Wilds which may also act as Sticky Wilds. If a Wild symbol on the sliding reel is not used as part of a win, then it will keep its position for the next spin, and continue to do so until it is involved in a win.
You can also bag yourself a Base Game multiplier if you activate the Super Stake Feature
Stakelogic’s Super Stake Feature does well to diversify itself in many of their games. In this particular game, the Super Stake Feature does a couple of things.
If you’ve activated Super Stake, then every winning cascade in the Base Game will activate a multiplier. This multiplier will increment by +1 for every winning cascade.
This is a brilliant feature to have in the Base Game. This kind of progressive multiplier is usually seen only in Free Spins. The only difference here is that the multiplier will reset between spins where there was no winning combination.
Super Stake also helps in reducing the number of Bonus or Scatter Symbols needed to trigger their respective features. If Super Stake is enabled, then you’ll need 3 Bonus Symbols or 3 Scatter symbols instead of 4.
Some might find the Super Stake Feature a bit steep, as it doubles your stake. Considering what you get for activating it, we think it’s definitely a worth it feature.
Giant’s Gold Megaways Bonus
4 (or 3 with Super Stake) Bonus symbols are needed to trigger the Egg Collector Feature.
Each bonus symbol will transform into a Bet multiplier, and 3 spins are awarded. If a bonus symbols lands on any spin, then the counter will be reset to 3 once more. New symbols will also show a bet multiplier.
If a reel is filled, then an extra space will be added giving you more room to land more symbols. The reels can extend up to a maximum height of 7 symbols. If all 6 reels are filled with 7 symb ols, then the feature will end and you’ll be awarded a 10,000x win.
Giant’s Gold Megaways also has some special Bonus Symbols in play. Here is what they do:
- Adder – This adds its own bet multiplier to all other bonus symbols in view
- Collector – This will add all other bonus bet multipliers in view to its own bet multiplier
You get a bit of a Money Train vibe from this one for sure. There aren’t quite as many special symbols, but it’s a great feature to have, especially considering that Free Spins are also available.
Giant’s Gold Megaways Free Spins
4 or more (or 3 with Super Stake) Scatter Symbols are needed to trigger the Free Spins Feature. 12 Free Spins are awarded in this mode, and each additional Scatter Symbols will give you +3 Spins.
If Super Stake was active prior to starting the round, then any multiplier that you’ve accrued will persist into Free Spins. If you did not have Super Stake active, or you had no multiplier, then the multiplier will begin at x1.
Each winning cascade will increase the multiplier by +1 in this mode. This is a bonus feature that many will be familiar with. The only significant difference is the Wild Symbols which stick until they’re part of a win. These Sticky Wilds even carry over in to the Base Game if you land one on the last spin with no win.
It might not be entirely innovative, but this kind of bonus is immensely popular, entertaining and its very rich with potential.
Giant’s Gold Megaways: Our Verdict
Giant’s Gold Megaways does perfectly well in creating a captivating Megaways experience for die hard fans of the mechanic.
If not for the Super Stake feature and the Sticky Wilds, then there wouldn’t be much to separate it from any other standard Megaways Slot. The Super Stake Feature really shines here in making even the Base Game an exciting place to be, and the collector bonus and the Free Spins gives the player plenty more to look forward to as well.
Statistics wise, the RTP looks pretty decent at 96.0%, and the maximum win capability looks even better at over 18,000x.
Overall, Giant’s Gold Megaways doesn’t reinvent the Megaways Mechanic, but it does well in impressing with its great potential and clever use of the Super Stake Feature.
