Legion Gold Base Game and Features

Legion Gold Free Spins

Legion Gold has 2 Bonus rounds for you to enjoy. The Gold Respins round is a typical Hold & Win style round and the other is a Mega Free Spins round.

Gold Respins

Landing 6 or more Gold Coins across the reels triggers the Gold Respins round, awarding 3 Respins.

During this round, all other symbols from the paytable are removed, leaving only Gold Coins in play. Gold Coins appear with a random Cash Value between 1x and 1,000x your current bet.

Each time a new Gold Coin symbol lands in view, additional Respins are awarded and the Gold Coin will be locked in its position for the duration of the respins round.

If all the grid positions are filled with Gold Coins, the 1,000x Golden Prize is awarded, in addition to all other Cash Values on the Gold Coins across the reels.

Mega Free Spins

Landing 3 Scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 triggers the Mega Free Spins round, awarding 5 Free Spins.

During this round, a Mega symbol will land across the reels in a random position for each Free Spin. The Gold Respins round can also be triggered during this time by landing the Mega Gold Coin symbol.

Legion Gold: Our Verdict

Like all Play’n GO’s Roman-themed titles, Legion Gold looks pretty impressive at first, but did this shine through in gameplay?

With nothing in the way of features to fall back on in the base game, the Mega Free Spins and Gold Respins rounds are the only source of entertainment you can get here.

The Gold Respins bonus is your typical Hold & Win style round, where Gold Coins with Cash Prizes can be won. This is okay if you’re big on the Hold & Win mechanic, but its not the most exciting in our opinion.

Luckily for us, Play’n GO has also thrown in a Mega Free Spins round, which sounds a lot more appealing, but landing this Bonus is a lot harder than you think.

Another disappointing blow is the max win cap of 2,000x. If you’re looking for big potential seen in Nolimit City titles, you sadly won’t find that here. This max win would be best suited to players just starting out in the slots world, not for those who already have a taste for big potential.
