Multiplier Wilds

Similar to that seen in The Green Knight, this game features a Multiplier Wilds Feature that randomly triggers in the base game. Randomly, the bar above the reel set will choose a Multiplier value of x2, x3, x5, x10, or x100 and apply this value to all Cam Wilds that land in view.

The awarded Multiplier value is applied to all wins that the Multiplier Wilds are a part of. With the next spin, the Multiplier Meter will reset until it is triggered again. In Free Spins, the Multiplier Wild is guaranteed to land on each spin.

Love Map

During your date, you can check your progression by clicking on the Map in the bottom left corner of the reel set. Progress along the Love Map by collecting as many Romantic Pic Scatters as you can.

Each pic that’s awarded will help you reach new fairground attractions, boosting Multiplier Wilds up to a maximum of x100. Love Map progression is saved per bet, even when you leave the game and return a short while later.

Love is in the Fair Free Spins

Landing 3 or more Romantic Pic Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins round. During Free Spins, the goal is to collect Romantic Pic Scatters to increase the Multiplier Wild value for the duration of Free Spins.

The value of Multiplier Wilds within Free Spins is determined by the number of Romantic Pic Scatters that have been collected for this round, including Scatters that triggered Free Spins. +3 Free Spins are awarded per collection threshold.

  • 3+ Scatters – Awards 3 Free Spins and  x2 Multiplier Wilds.
  • 6+ Scatters – Awards 6 Free Spins and x3 Multiplier Wilds.
  • 9+ Scatters – Awards 9 Free Spins and x5 Multiplier Wilds.
  • 12+ Scatters – Awards 12 Free Spins and x10 Multiplier Wilds.
  • 15 Scatters – Awards 15 Timeless Free Spins and x100 Multiplier Wilds.

After 15 Romantic Pic Scatters have been collected, Scatter symbols are removed from play and additional Free Spins cannot be awarded.

Love is in the Fair: Our Verdict

The cheesy character voiceovers can sometimes be a bit much, but the best love stories usually are. However, if this does become too much, there’s a handy little mute button located in the settings. Love is in the Fair is a light-hearted game that is reminiscent in some ways of the hit movie Grease. It’s your typical story of teenage love, and interestingly different in many ways.

It’s easy to understand, and fairly capable as well with staple multiplier features that kick in to up the ante on any spin. It’s sort of like the Green Knight and others in the Arthurian Tale series, though it obviously shares nothing in terms of theme.

Love is in the Fair is also a game with a lot of replay value thanks to the Love Map feature, although you could argue that its ‘grindy’ in some sense. If you’re appreciative of a game that saves your progress, then you might look forward to another spin on Love is in the Fair. It’s something to work towards, and even though with an aversion for public displays of affection might appreciate it.

Overall, Love is in the Fair has fairly common features at its core, but innovative little tweaks and the potential for repeated gameplay make it quite loveable.
