Magician’s Secrets has a somewhat predictable theme with it’s magical mien, but we like it. Magician’s Secrets Betting and Symbols

Magician’s Secrets has a variety of betitng options for players to choose from. For those who prefer a lower stake, the minimum bet available is £/€0.10 per spin. For those who prefer a higher stake, the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.

The highest paying regular symbol in Magician’s Secrets is the Book, followed by the Pendant, Goblet, Knife and Potion. Lower paying symbols fall to Gems, Spades, Hearts, Clubs and Diamonds.

Wild symbols substitute for all symbols except Scatters.

Magician’s Secrets Base Game and Features

Magician’s Secrets is a 6 reel slot with 4,096 Ways to win. In order to form a win you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbols from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.

The base game in Magician’s Secrets can be considered less than magical, thankfully Pragmatic Play has included an Expanding Wild feature to spice up the base game.

Expanding Wild

Wild symbols can appear only on reels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Each time a Wild symbol lands in view, there is a possibility that it will expand to fill the reel.

When a Wild symbol expands, it also comes equipped with a Multiplier between x2 and x10, that will apply to all winning combinations that include the Expanding Wild.

This feature has the potential to deliver some impressive big wins if you connect the Expanding Wild with the highest paying symbol or a huge number of other symbols.

Magician’s Secrets Free Spins

Landing 3 or more Scatters on any of the reels, in any position, triggers the Free Spins round. Each additional Scatter symbol that lands, pays in any position on the reels.

• 4 Scatters – Awards 20x your current bet.
• 5 Scatters – Awards 200x your current bet.
• 6 Scatters – Awards 2,000x your current bet.

Once the Free Spins round is triggered, you will be given a choice of 2 Bonus rounds to pick from.

Free Spins with Expanding Wilds

If you opt for the Free Spins with Expanding Wilds bonus round, you are awarded 10 Free Spins.

During the Bonus round, whenever a Wild symbol lands on reels 3 and 4, it will automatically expand to fill the reel, and a Respin is awarded. Respins will continue until no winning combinations are formed.

During each Respin, the Multiplier attached to the Expanding Wild will increase by +1.  If 2 Expanding Wilds are present at the same time, their individual Multipliers will multiply between themselves, before awarding the win.

Landing 3 or more Scatter symbols during the Free Spins round, awards an additional +10 Free Spins.

Free Spins with Sticky Wilds

The Free Spins round with Sticky Wilds is the more Volatile option of the two. If you choose to go with this option, you will be awarded 8 Free Spins.

Before Free Spins can commence, you will be given a random paying symbol that will act as your Special symbol.

During Free Spins, whenever an instance of your Special symbol lands between reels 2 and 5, it will automatically lock into position and act as a Wild.

In additon to this, all Wild symbols that land between reels 2 and 5 will also lock into position.

Filling 1 or more reels on the same spin with Sticky Wild symbols, awards an additional +3 Free Spins.

If either of the 2 Bonus rounds reaches the maximum win capacity of 5,000x, the Free Spins round will immediately end and all remaining Free Spins are forfeited.

Magician’s Secrets Our Verdict

We’ve recently been rather critical of Pragmatic Play titles, but we really like this one.

It seems like they’ve been more concerned about just churning them out rather than concetrating on creating a quality title, but we think Magician’s Secrets is one of the better ones to come off of the conveyor belt recently. In a way, Magician’s Secrets has a sort of Iron Bank feel to it, which certainly isn’t a bad thing, unless you’re not in favour of high volatility that is.

Once again though, Pragmatic Play has settled on their favourite maximum win figure of 5,000x. We’d love for them to just blow us away with something off of the scales, but for now and the foreseeable future it looks like they’re sticking to their guns.

Overall, we can certainly see the appeal in Magician’s Secrets. It’s not just a title that feels rushed, and it has some real entertaining moments here and there which reminds you why Pragmatic Play are great…when they want to be.
