It comes as no surprise that symbols in the game are comprised of potions.

The Orange, Purple, Blue and Green Potions are the high paying symbols, and the Purple, Green, Red and Blue Gems are the low paying symbols.

Set upon a 7×7 grid, you’ll need at least 5 matching symbols of any type to form a win. Symbols that are part of a winning cluster will disappear from play, causing a tumble feature. This makes symbols above the empty spaces fall down to fill the gaps, and new symbols will fall in above them to fill any other remaining spaces.

The bigger the cluster of symbols, the bigger the wins. 15-49 of the highest paying symbol will yield and impressive reward of 500x, but you’ll need features to get there.

Elixir Wilds

Non winning spins have the opportunity to cause an Elixir Wild Feature, which is similar to the instability seen in Reactoonz.

This feature puts 4 to 8 Wilds into play at random positions.

Moon Seed Mark

The Moon Seed Mark can appear behind all instances of one low paying symbol on any spin.

Whenever there is a winning combination that includes these marked symbols, 2 Wild symbols will be left behind in their place after they disappear.

Progressive Feature

After every spin. the number of symbols awarded within a win will be added to the Cauldron to the side of the grid.

When 25 symbols have been collected, a random feature will be awarded

• Befuddlement – After all tumbles are finished, high paying symbols are transformed into lower paying symbols.
• Invisibew – All low value symbols disappear and new symbols fall in via a cascade
• Enlarging Ale – A random block of 3×3 or 4×4 of the same paying symbol is added to a random position on screen
• Balm of Transfiguration – One low paying symbol is selected, and all instances of this symbol is turned into the same high paying symbol.

Once 125 symbols are collected, the fifth reel modifier will be a random feature. This can either be the Potion of Darkness, or Unicorn Dust

Potion of Darkness

After the 4th modifier is finished, the Potion of Darkness will remove all low paying symbols and a new drop will ensue.

During this spin you may only land high value symbols. This feature ends when there are no more winning combinations

Unicorn Dust

The Unicorn Dust is a feature that may trigger in place of the Potion of Darkness.

After the 4th modifier is finished, then 3 or 4 unicorn Wilds are placed on the screen in random positions

These have a starting multiplier of 1x or 2x. Whenever a Unicorn Wild is part of a winning combination, then it will remain on the screen and benefit from an incremental multiplier increase of +1. It will also move to a random new position.

If more than one Unicorn Wild happens to be part of a winning combination, then the winning combination is multiplied by the sum of all multipliers involved.

The maximum multiplier possible on a Unicorn Wild is 20x.

This feature continues until no more winning combinations are possible.

The Magic Cauldon Enchanted Brew is a prime example of how good a feature rich cluster pays game could be.

With a multitude of things to experience, it’s doubtful that The Magic Cauldron Enchanted Brew will bore you.

The statistics of the game also look great, with a maximum win value of 5,000x and an RTP of 96.44%.

For some reason, 5,000x seems to be the go to maximum win figure for Pragmatic Play games. It would be great to see them push the boat out a little to make something with a much higher capability, even if it did come at the cost of being a fiercely volatile game.

It also doesn’t look like there is a Bonus Buy feature, which won’t matter to UK players anyway, but may disappoint those outside of the UK. We’re not sure why there isn’t one, Gems Bonanza has this feature. It is still early  days after all, The Magic Cauldron Enchanted Brew is not due to release until 27.05.2021, so there’s a chance that this feature could be implemented yet.
