Without seeing the game first hand, you would never be able to guess the theme based off the title, we do love a surprise or two and it looks like Stakelogic are taking us back to the good old Mining days in Old Fellow.

First impressions of Old Fellow are quite good, the backdrop puts us in a dry desert, surrounded by mountains, an old wooden mining track and a very nosey Iguana perched on a rock. A crisp blue sky with moving clouds and birds flying by are also present.

The chilled music playing throughout gives off a very Old Western feel to it and sound effects tie in nicely with the theme. The sound effects tend to drown out the music a little and are quite overpowering at best of times.

Old Fellow has a small variety of betting options for players to choose from. For those who prefer a lower stake, the minimum bet available is £/€0.20 per spin. Old Fellow isn’t exactly the first Old Western Mining slot we’ve come across and we are pretty sure it wont be the last. But is it a memorable one? That’s for you to decide.

There is no real excitement in the base game and the lack of features may well be a deal-breaker for you, but what Old Fellow lacks in the base game, it certainly makes up for in Free Spins.

If we’re being honest, Stakelogic had us a little worried for a second that Old Fellow was going to be a dead-end, but as it turns out they were just saving the best part till last.
