Get ready for the much-anticipated return of the friendly extra-terrestrials. Play’n GO are here with Reactoonz 2 Slot, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

When Reactoonz released in 2017 it took Online Slots UK by storm with its exhilarating and exciting mechanics, so needless to say everyone is hyped about the return.

With Play’n GO releasing New Slots weekly, let’s take a deeper look into Reactoonz 2 as it has been launched already!

The Reactoonz Are Back!

Set upon a 7×7 cascading grid, Reactoonz 2 brings some of that familiarity that we know and love, but with a new and polished look as well as some new features.

All of the original crew are back for this sequel, including the 4-little one-eyed Reactoonz, the 4 bigger two-eyed ones, and of course, there is no Reactoonz without our favourite of them all, Gargantoon.

The game introduces some brand-new mechanics never seen before in the prequel, including Electric and Energoon Wilds, and we can’t wait to see how these new features contribute to the gameplay of a game that was already shockingly good before.

Of course, as well as new features, Reactoonz 2 will also stay true to the original with some of the more familiar mechanics.

Just like before the game will work via a Cluster Pays mechanic, where 5 identical aliens will need to connect either horizontally or vertically to win.

Of course, like before, the Wild symbol will stand in and substitute for any other symbol, helping you along the way on your endeavour to summon the mighty Gargantoon.

Wilds were certainly a formidable tool in the original game, and undoubtedly will be again. Let’s take a look at some of the new and exciting features at play in Reactoonz 2.

Reactoonz 2 Slot Information

Electric Wild

This special type of Wild will not land on the grid-like a traditional Wild. These are created when the chosen symbol in the Fluctometer creates a winning cluster on the grid, and you will get one Wild for every cluster that the symbol creates.

Like any other Wild, the Electric Wild will substitute for any symbol, which will help to create more wins. If the Electric Wild was part of a win, it will destroy the symbols and all symbols of the same type from the grid.

If two or more Electric Wilds are present on the grid after this happens, then some different mechanics can trigger.

  • If two of the Wilds are adjacent to each other then they will destroy every symbol on the grid, except for other wilds, which creates a new cascade.
  • If there are no winning combinations on the new cascade, but two adjacent Wilds still exist, then they’ll destroy all the symbols once again. This is repeatable until there are no more adjacent Wilds left.
  • If there are still Wilds on the grid, but none are adjacent to each other, then two will be picked at random and a line is drawn between them. All symbols in the path of the line will be destroyed. This will continue until there are less than two Electric Wilds left

Uncharged Wild

  • Uncharged wilds are Electric Wilds created on the grid, but are not yet active. These can act as blockers until charged.
  • To charge these, a cluster of wins will need to occur next to the symbol. These will also charge if two charged active Electric Wilds are on the grid.

Fluctometer

The Fluctometer sits above the grid. At the start of each round, a one-eyed Reactoon symbol will be chosen as the fluctuating symbol.

If the fluctuating symbol is removed from the grid, the Fluctometer will be charged. This can occur via a normal win, or when they are destroyed by Electric Wilds.

Once the meter is full, the Fluctometer will activate to grant you either 1, 2 or 3 Electric Wilds which will be placed randomly on the grid.

Quantumeter

The Quantumeter sees the return of The Engergoon, from the original game Engergoonz. The Quantumeter is the tool you’ll use to summon him and Gargantoon on to the screen.

The Quantummeter needs charging, to do this, Electric Wilds will need to be used as part of a winning cluster, or react to zap symbols. Each symbol counts as one charge, and there are 4 levels of charge that you can reach.

  • Level 1 – 50 Charges
  • Level 2 – 80 Charges
  • Level 3 – 105 Charges
  • Overcharge – 130+ Charges

Energoon Wild

Activating level 1 or 2 will grant an Energoon Wild. If you do reach these levels, the meter can be recharged by more symbols until level 3 is reached.

  • Level 1 – Four 1×1 Engergoon Wilds will appear on the grid
  • Level 2 – Two 2×2 Engergoon Wilds will appear on the grid

Gargantoon

If you reach level 3 you’ll be granted you a favourite symbol, Gargantoon!

Hitting level 3 will mean that the meter can not charge any more, but it can be overcharged to get an x2 multiplier on the Gargantoonz

Once level 3 is reached, all of the levels will consecutively trigger and is complete once all wins and cascades are finished.

  • Level 3 – Giant 3×3 Gargantoon
  • Overcharge – Adds a 2x multiplier to Gargantoon

Our Reactoonz 2 Verdict

With all these new features at play, we can’t wait to see what surprises Reactoonz 2 has in store for us. The new features are pretty exhilarating and rather different from what we’re used to from Reactoonz.

Play’n GO aren’t messing about with this one, and want Reactoonz 2 to be as exciting as it can possibly be.

It’s got big shoes to fill considering the smash hit that was the first game, but we’ve got a feeling that the thought and innovation put into the sequel will be more than sufficient in catering to long time fans of the series.

Reactoonz 2 is available to play from October 1st 2020 at most Online Casinos UK.
