Let’s play on and find out!

Fish Reel

Below the reel set sits an additional Sliding Reel, with only special Fish symbols present. Each Fish symbol is equipped with a Prize value between x5 and x50.

With each new spin, each of the 4 positions can display either a Cash Fish, Swordfish, Electric Eel or an empty position.

The Electric Eel symbol is the only special symbol without a Prize, instead acting as a Wild. When an Eel symbol is caught, it will expand to fill the entire reel above it. Any prizes awarded that include the Electric Eel symbol are multiplied by x4.

At the start of each new spin, the reel will move one position to the left, changing the positions of any special Fish symbols and potentially adding another to the right-most reel.

If a Fishing Rod symbol lands on reels 2, 3, 4 or 5, it will catch any special Fish symbols below it on the Sliding Reel, awarding the corresponding Prize. If there is no Fish symbol on the Sliding Reel for the rod to catch, no Prize is awarded.

Reel ‘Em In! A Bit Fishy Free Spins

Landing 3 or more Scatters across the reels in any position, automatically triggers the Free Spins round. The Free Spins round can also be triggered by catching a Swordfish symbol on the Sliding Reel, or a combination of both Scatters and Swordfish.

Reel ‘Em In! A Bit Fishy: Our Verdict

Fishing Slots aren’t exactly few and far between, are they?

Everyone from Light and Wonder to Pragmatic Play are trying to get their ‘hooks’ into the game of fishing, but how appealing is Reel ‘Em In! A Bit Fishy? And does it stand out from an overwhelmingly large crowd of slots that have capatalised on the same theme?

Light & Wonder’s offering certainly wasn’t bad. They’ve at least tried to make it their own with differences in the way that fish are caught, which surprisingly few do. Many just stick a different skin on a math model produced by someone else in the hope they’ll enjoy a share of the success, but Reel ‘Em In! A bit Fishy feels pretty fresh.

It’s not completely innovative of course. It hasn’t ‘reinvented the fishing rod’ so to speak, but its an entertaining and fun if you’re a fishing enthusiast like so many are.

The potential looks very decent too. 8,259x is the maximum win in Reel ‘Em In! A Bit Fishy. It’s not as large as some of the other ‘fish’ from other games out there, but its certainly not small.

Overall, Reel ‘Em In! A Bit Fishy isn’t quite a game changing fishing slot, but you’d be much better off here than with some of the games that just try to copy Fishin’ Frenzy.
