Base Game & Features
MexoMax 2 is a highly volatile Video Slot as part of an ongoing sequel, featuring 6 reels, 6 rows, and the lucrative Cluster Pays mechanic. Through this mechanic, winning combinations occur when 5-14 symbols of the same type land horizontally or vertically on the grid.
The highest-paying symbol falls to the Red Mask, followed by Purple, Green, & Blue Masks, as well as a variety of coloured Runic Tiles. When a win is evaluated, a fixed payout between 0.1x and 6.5x your bet is applied, where applicable.
After a win is confirmed and paid out, the Avalanche Feature removes all winning symbols from the grid, creating room for new symbols to fall in from above. This continues until no new cluster wins occur in the same spin.
Wilds & Multipliers
After an Avalanche event has occurred and the winning symbols are removed, a single Wild symbol is positioned in one of the empty positions before new symbols drop in from above.
In addition, above each reel is an individual Multiplier that starts at x1. Each time a Wild symbol spawns on its respective reel, its Multiplier increases by +x1 for the given Avalanche event.
Wild symbols substitute for all symbols except Scatters when completing a winning cluster. Alternatively, WildEnergy symbols appear on the grid with 2-4 Lives, which participate in wins for the total number of Lives displayed before being removed.
Lastly, additional Multiplier Wilds that carry values between x2 and x50 can appear on the grid, applying their current value to the respective Reel Multiplier.
Grand Prizes
Throughout gameplay, each high-paying (Mask) symbol can reveal a Sub-Symbol, which is collected toward its respective Grand Prize next to the main reel set. Each collected Sub-Symbol has the chance to trigger 1 of 4 Grand Prizes:

Special Features

Our Honest Verdict
After embracing the ancient jungle of MexoMax MultiMax in 2022, Yggdrasil Gaming felt it was time to bring back the magic in a much-needed sequel, which ignites the spirit of Multifly, Raptor DoubleMax, and, of course, the original that set things in motion.
MexoMax 2 has bursts of thrill and excitement in the base game and Free Spins mode, thanks to the MultiMax mechanic and its ability to apply individual Reel Multipliers to winning clusters.
Through the Cluster Pays mechanic, this feature is enhanced substantially, granting players the opportunity to connect more wins and a chance to boost Reel Multipliers for bigger payouts. Due to the high potential for wins, the value of all winning symbols is less profitable than a traditional 5-reel, pay-line video slot.
Unlike the original release, MexoMax 2 boasts 3 Special Features in the base game, which each aid in the progression of winning clusters. What’s great about these features is that they only trigger on a non-winning spin, so it’s not a complete disappointment when faced with dead spins, but they don’t trigger as often as you’d like.
