Base Game & Features
Ultra Fruit Smash is a 6-reel, 6-row video slot, operating under a Scatter Pays mechanic. Wins occur when 8 or more identical symbols land anywhere on the grid, regardless of their current positions.
The highest-paying symbol falls to the Strawberry, followed by the Dragonfruits, Peaches, Pineapples, & Coconuts as the remaining high-paying symbols. Other symbols include Pears, Apples, Plums, Grapes, & Blueberries. When a win is conceived on the grid, a fixed payout between 0.1x and 8x your bet is awarded.
The game is also home to several additional symbols, including Wilds, Golden Bananas, Multiplier Chests, & Scatters. Wild symbols appear anywhere on the grid, substituting for all symbols when completing a scattered win.
Lastly, all symbols that are part of a win will explode from the grid, leaving a series of empty cell positions in view. The Avalanche Feature allows new symbols to drop in from above the grid, filling all empty cell positions, and potentially triggering additional wins in the same spin.
Global Multiplier
During gameplay, the Global Multiplier increases by the value of Multipliers from Giant symbols, Golden Bananas, & Multiplier Chests. Once the Global Multiplier has revealed its new value, each winning combination is multiplied by its respective value.
After all wins are paid out, the next spin will reset the Global Multiplier to x1.
Giant Symbols
At the start of each spin (or when no more wins are present), a 2×2, 3×3, or 4×4 Giant Fruit or Wild symbol may position itself anywhere on the grid. Giant Fruit symbols may reveal a random Multiplier up to x50, whilst Giant Wilds can display a maximum of x1,000.
Multipliers from Giant symbols are added to the Global Multiplier first, before being applied to winning combinations during that spin. Please note that non-winning Giant symbols will remain persistent on the grid until the end of the spin.
Golden Bananas & Multiplier Chests
Golden Bananas may randomly drop onto the grid, revealing 2-5 Charges and a random Multiplier up to x1,000. Once in view, a single Banana Charge is added to the Global Multiplier. After each avalanche event, +1 Banana Charge is awarded until no further wins or charges are remaining.
Alternatively, special Multiplier Chests may appear in view, carrying a random Multiplier of x200, x500, or x1,000, along with an Avalanche Countdown. With each Avalanche that occurs, the countdown will reduce by 1. Once it reaches zero, the Chest unlocks, revealing a random Multiplier as specified above.
Ultra Fruit Smash Free Spins
Landing 3 Scatters anywhere in the base game triggers the Free Spins mode, awarding 10 Free Spins. Alternatively, landing 3 Scatters throughout the session will award an additional +4 Free Spins. Otherwise, having a combination of Scatters & Super Scatters upgrades the current session to Super Free Spins, awarding a further +4 Free Spins.
In the standard Free Spins mode, the Global Multiplier does not reset between spins.
Super Free Spins
Triggering the Super Free Spins mode with 2 Scatters & 1 Super Scatter in the base game awards 10 Super Free Spins. During this time, each spin is guaranteed an initial Giant Fruit/Wild symbol(s). When 3 Scatters fall within the same spin, an additional +4 Free Spins is awarded.

Our Honest Verdict
After swinging on the vines of many key features & mechanics in the original Fruit Smash and its promising follow-up, Super Fruit Smash, Slotmill has once again tangled with the format & features, but will the third time be the charm?
Apart from an obvious change to its title, Ultra Fruit Smash doesn’t stray far from its predecessors in terms of appearance, but beneath its fruity exterior lies a concoction of blended features that accompany the enhanced maximum win potential.
Not all changes made are for the better, though. For one, the Global Multiplier does not increase after each avalanche as it did in both previous releases; however, they also weren’t able to distribute x1,000 Multipliers, so there seems to be a fair trade between the two.
Kicking the Global Multiplier into gear falls to Golden Bananas, Giant symbos, & the odd Multiplier Chest, two of which are new to the scene. All three possess great potential & enhanced payouts, but Multiplier Chests are the most challenging to activate, given that 2-5 avalanche events are needed to unlock their full potential.
In other news, Slotmill has included a Free Spins session, with the promise of a Super Free Spins mode. While both modes are purchasable via the Bonus Buy tab, they are also available for natural selection in the base game, making this game a great & beneficial choice for UK players.
