The minimum bet available here is £/€0.12 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€60 per spin, with plenty of other options inbetween the two. Shamrock Miner has a theoretical RTP of 96.29% and a max win cap of 5,000x.

Cash Symbols

During gameplay, you will come across Cash symbols with a random value of up to 50x your current bet.

All Cash symbols remain dormant until a Wild symbol lands in view at the same time. Once this happens, the Wild symbol will act as a Collector, awarding all cash values on any present Cash symbols on the reels.

If more than 1 Wild symbol lands at the same time as a Cash symbol, then more than one Cash collect event will occur, meaning that each Wild symbol will collect all present Cash symbols on the reels.

Wilds can also be equipped with a Multiplier of x1, x2, x4 or x10, which will multiply the sum total of all Cash symbols it collects.

Shamrock Miner Free Spins

Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters across the reels in any position triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10, 15 and 20 Free Spins respectively.

During Free Spins, Wilds will continue to collect all Cash symbols and their values, like in the base game. Also during this time, a Trail that sits above the reel set comes into play.

On the Trail sits 12 Carts that need to be filled. For every 4th Cart, an additional +10 Free Spins is awarded and the number of Wild Multipliers on the reels is increased.

In addition to this, with each retrigger the reel height will increase by +1, up to a maximum of 7 after the 12th Cart retrigger. Each Wild symbol that lands in view will fill 1 Cart position on the Trail and each reel expansion will add an extra 5 win lines.

The range of Wild Multipliers available for each level during this round are as follows.

  • 0-4 Carts – Awards a Multiplier of x1, x2 and x3.
  • 4 Carts – Awards a Multiplier of x2, x4 and x6.
  • 8 Carts – Awards a Multiplier of x4, x8 and x12.
  • 12 Carts – Awards a Multiplier of x10, x20 and x30.

Shamrock Miner: Our Verdict

Shamrock Miner is in essence, a fishing game, or at least it takes some inspiration from fishing slots.

Big Bass Bonanza seems to be where it all leads back to – since its release many have emerged from the woodwork with their rendition of a cash collection slot with multipliers at different levels.

We dare say that Play’n GO does it better than most with Shamrock Miner. Some outright reskin the original for a quick and easy release, yet Play’n GO puts thought into theirs with a few bells and whistles that makes Shamrock Miner quite different. Expanded reels is the first significant difference, and it’s an effective change at that. Another difference is the multiplier values between levels. Shamrock Miner has many different multiplier values rather than just a few set multipliers at each level. It does add a bit of diversity we suppose.

When it comes to potential, Shamrock Miner looks pretty good at 5,000x the bet as a maximum win. It’s not quite as potent as some of the Big Bass Slots, but better than a couple. Play’n GO do not seem to be in the business of dishing out maximum wins unfortunately, so we can’t say with utmost confidence that Shamrock Miner could hit the maximum win.

Overall, Shamrock Miner is a nice change to the norm, but it’s not quite anything to write home about. When it releases it may well get some attention as new slots do, but it might be doomed to fade into irrelevance given its common Irish theme and gameplay that doesn’t quite break the boundaries of what we’ve seen before.
