Wild Donuts Base Game and Features

Wild Donuts is a 6×5 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are formed when 5 or more of the same symbol types land either Horizontally or Vertically on the grid.

The minimum bet available here is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. Wild Donuts has a theoretical RTP of 96.30% and a maximum win capacity of 10,000x.

Typical of a Cluster Pays slot, Wild Donuts features Cascading Reels. Each time a winning combination is formed, all winning symbols will be removed from the grid and new symbols will fall down via a Cascade. Once a Cascade occurs, there is a chance that more winning combinations will form.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Wild Donuts is the Rainbow Donut, followed by the Red Star, Purple Flower and Pink Heart. Low paying symbols fall to the Green Square, Blue Triangle and Orange Circle. There is also a Wild symbol present which substitutes for all other symbols except Scatters.

Wild Multipliers

During both the base game and Free Spins round, Gold Wild Donut symbols can land in any random position on the grid.

When a Wild Donut symbol lands in view, it will appear with a Multiplier of up to x10 which is applied to any winning combinations it is a part of. If more than one Wild Donut forms part of a winning cluster, each Multiplier value will be applied to the total win one after the other.

After each winning cluster is removed from the grid, all present Wild Donut symbols can jump into a new position on the grid before the cascade occurs.

Random Wild Feature

Another nice addition to Wild Donuts is the Random Wild feature which can occur randomly during any base game spin.

Once this happens, between 1 and 6 Wild symbols will be added to random positions on the grid, up to 1 per reel.

Wild Donuts Free Spins

Landing 3 or more Scatters in any position on the grid triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10 Free Spins. For every Scatter awarded after the initial 3 required, an additional +2 Free Spins per Scatter is added to your total Free Spisn amount.

During the Free Spins round, the Random Wild feature is triggered before each spin. Landing 3 or more Scatters during the Free Spins round automatically awards a Retrigger.

Wild Donuts Bonus Buy

Wild Donuts: Our Verdict

Wild Donuts is a visually appealing slot with something that’ll hit the spot for confectionary fans everywhere, but the sweetness of Wild Donuts compared to slots is something we’ve been pondering about.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with Wild Donuts, but it’s got fierce competition from the likes of Sweet Bonanza and others that have capatalised on tempting treats too.

When it comes to gameplay, Wild Donuts is unquestionably exciting if the Wilds are in your favour, yet we must say, the build up between each spin can be a little tiresome. Each reel spins slowly while deciding whether or not to drop a wild, and it can be a little dull to watch.

On the other hand, if you’re lucky with lots of wilds in good places, then it can feel the opposite.

Wild Donuts has an undoubted Jammin’ Jars feel to it with Wilds that hop around, and if we’re honest, we’re fans of the way Push Gaming did it with Wilds that stay. Unfortunately, the smaller grid size doesn’t quite allow Wild Donuts to do the same.

To give Max Win Gaming credit, they’ve at least tried to pull it off in their own way. Wilds can land in with multipliers ready and raring to go, which is great in contrast to Jammin’ Jars, where wilds usually begin with no multiplier.

In terms of potential, Wild Donuts looks pretty good with a maximum win cap of 10,000x. You’d need a fair few wilds working in synchronisation to pull it off, but it’d be a sight to behold if you did.

Overall, Wild Donuts isn’t the sweetest treat we’ve ever tried, but it’s a great effort from Max Win Gaming, and we imagine it’ll be quite popular upon release.
