Magic Money Maze Slot Review 2024

Pragmatic Play partner Reel Kingdom is back with another clever spin using board games in their latest release, Magic Money Maze!

Calling all board game lovers! Reel Kingdom has returned with another exciting additon to add to their board game slots collection, where the rules are different and the age to play is a lot higher (18+ only boys and girls). Reel Kingdom are the brains behind Tic Tac Take and Snakes and Ladders MegaDice which are both twists on our childhood favourite games, but Magic Money Maze is quite the mixed bag as you will soon see.

You could call it an intuition if you like but we had a feeling that Snakes and Ladders MegaDice was the start of something beautiful for Reel Kingdom and we were right. Reel Kingdom is taking us on a trip down memory lane, recreating our childhood games into slot form and we couldn’t be happier. We tried our hand at a game of Snakes and Ladders and reminisced with Tic Tac Take, but will Magic Money Maze do the same thing?

Let’s play on and find out!

Magic Money Maze Board Bonus

Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters in any position on the reels triggers the Magic Money Maze Board Bonus, awarding 1, 2 and 4 Lives respectively.

Once active, the reel set will transform into a 7×7 board with 49 individual Square Sections. The Reel Kingdom Monkey will represent you on the board for the duration of the Bonus, which will be placed in a random position on the outer edge of the Board.

On the Board you will notice so many Square Sections have random items or amounts attached to them , these are as follows.

  • Cash Prizes – Awards a Cash Value between 0.1x and 1,000x your current bet.
  • Snakes – Removes a Life.
  • Scorpions – Removes a Life.
  • Arrows – Moves you to the next level at the end of the Arrow.
  • Heart – Awards an extra Life, up to a maximum of 3.
  • Presidents – When 2, 3 or 4 President symbols are collected, a Multiplier of x2, x3 or x10 is applied to the total win.

Landing on the middle Square section of the Board will award the Magic Money Maze Modifier. Once this happens, all Cash Prizes will be increased by x2. Landing on the Magic Money Maze square again and again increases all Cash Prizes by x3, x4, x5 and then x10. The Monkey token will then be placed in another random position on the Board.

The Board Bonus round will continue until all your Lives are lost or the maximum win capacity of 10,000x is reached.

The Board Bonus round can be pruchased for an average 120x your current bet. The RTP when purchasing the Bonus round remains the same at 96.61%.

Magic Money Maze: Our Verdict

The presidential Magic Money Maze looks like something rather standard at first glance, but in true Reel Kingdom fashion, they’ve found a way to make it rather unique in Free Spins.

It can feel like a bit of a drag until you get to the snakes and ladders style bonus round, so your opinion of the game might vary depending on how long you actually stuck with it, but if you do manage to get to Free Spins then it can be a rather enjoyable experience.

To make you as flush as the presidents featured here you’ll want to hit that Magic Money Maze again and again for those incremental multiplier increases, but the Scorpions and the Snakes are party poopers, and if anything it feels a little harsh to have 2 symbols that removes lives.

At its maximum potential, Magic Money Maze is said to be capable of 10,000x. It’s hard to see the potential straight from the off, and again you’ll need a fine stroke of luck to avoid all of the Snakes and Scorpions, while making your way to the middle multiple times.

Overall, The Magic Money Maze is another dependable title from Reel Kingdom, but it can be frustrating at times.
