Payforit Casinos UK 2026 – Best Casinos That Accept Payforit

What is Payforit?

Payforit a mobile payment service developed by a consortium of mobile networks such as EE, Vodafone, Three, and O2 in 2006.

That means it’s available to use across all of these networks, as well as MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators), such as Sky Mobile, Giffgaff, and Tesco Mobile.

It can be used to pay for online services and app purchases, and even fund online gambling, by charging payments straight to your monthly phone bill or pay as you go (PAYG) credit.

It’s fast, secure, and private, since you don’t need to share your bank details with the casino directly. making it a popular option for mobile users.

However, it’s worth noting that, following the credit card ban for gambling in 2020, some online casinos have now stopped accepted Payforit deposits.

Like other pay by mobile methods, Payforit is a deposit-only method, so you’ll need to have a backup method ready when it comes to withdrawing your winnings.

Expert Tips

Set a Monthly Reminder Before Your Billing Date

Since Payforit charges accumulate on your phone bill every month, reviewing your deposits a few days before your billing cycle closes helps you avoid a larger-than-expected charge landing all at once.

Depositing at Online Casinos with Payforit

Payforit is one of the easiest ways to fund your casino balance, especially if you’re on mobile.

It does work a little differently to e-wallet or card payments, so it’s worth understanding the full process before doing it yourself.

This is because Payforit relies on your mobile carrier to process the payment, with the charge added to your monthly phone bill or deducted from your PAYG credit.

You’ll also need to make sure you’re on mobile data rather than WiFi for the payment to process, so switch over before heading to the cashier.

Here’s exactly how to make a Payforit deposit step by step:

Payforit Deposit Limits and Fees

One thing to note about Payforit as a payment method is that it’s regulated by the PSA (Phone-paid Services Authority), which enforces a £30 per-transaction limit.

This means that Payforit casinos likely won’t be the right fit for high rollers.

This applies across all Payforit transactions, regardless of what you’re doing or where you’re playing.

Below is a quick table listing Payforit’s deposit limits and possible fees.

In terms of fees, Payforit itself issues no additional charges to users, and the deposit amount is exactly what appears on your phone bill.

Some casinos may apply a small surcharge, so always check the cashier terms before confirming. Most UKGC-licensed casinos we feature don’t apply this, except some Jumpman Gaming sites like Wild West Wins.

Troubleshooting Payforit Casino Deposit Issues

Common causes and solutions for failed Payforit transactions:

• Insufficient credit (PAYG) – Top up your phone credit and retry. The full deposit amount must be available.
• Billing headroom exceeded (contract) – Wait for your next billing cycle, or contact your carrier about your credit limit.
• Mobile number mismatch – Verify the correct UK number is entered and matches your casino account registration.
• Carrier not supported – Check MVNO compatibility. Contact your carrier to confirm premium rate services are enabled.
• Daily/monthly limits reached – Wait for limit reset. Monthly limits clear at the start of your next billing cycle.
• Casino integration issue – Contact casino support. The casino’s Payforit provider connection may be temporarily down.
• SMS not received – Check your spam folder or blocked sender list. Make sure your phone isn’t blocking premium rate SMS.
• Timeout errors – SMS confirmations typically expire after 5 minutes. Start the deposit process again if the confirmation window closed.

Expert Tips

Use Payforit’s Billing Delay to Your Advantage

The gap between depositing and your bill arriving can make spending feel less immediate. Treat each Payforit deposit as money already spent rather than waiting for the bill to reflect it.

Can I Withdraw From Online Casinos with Payforit?

Sadly, no. Like other pay by phone methods, Payforit is solely for deposits only.

This is because Payforit is a prepaid payment option that’s loaded with a chosen value, which is either taken out of your PAYG credit or your monthly phone bill. Therefore, reverse transactions can’t be completed.

You’ll need to arrange an alternative method if you want to cash out, like an e-wallet, bank transfer, or debit card.

To avoid even more delays when you want to withdraw, we’d recommend completing KYC checks straight after registering.

Pros and Cons of Casinos That Accept Payforit

Payforit is a niche but great payment option, especially for mobile users, but it comes with its own set of cons.

The appeal, though, is obvious: private payments, instant deposits, and a built-in spending cap – all ideal if you want to manage your spending and keep your gambling activity off your main bank account.

But the deposit-only functionality and low daily limits mean it’s not right for every player.

Here’s a quick summary of the main pros and cons that come with Payforit as a casino payment method.

Alternative Payment Methods to Payforit

As Payforit is a deposit-only method, that means you’ll have to sort out an alternative payment method to process your withdrawals.

Luckily, as a UK player, you’re definitely not short of options, whether you want an e-wallet, debit card, or a mobile wallet.

Below is a comparison table stacking up all the most popular UK casino payment methods, so you can easily find the right fit for you.

Pay close attention to the withdrawal speeds and fees columns.

Expert Tips

Block Gambling Deposits at Network Level if Needed

Major UK networks including EE, Vodafone, and O2 allow you to block premium rate and third-party charges, which covers Payforit casino deposits. It’s a quick call to your network and takes effect faster than most casino self-exclusion processes.

Responsible Gambling with Payforit

Responsible play is something we advocate for strongly here at Fruity Slots, and something we always factor in with our FruityMeter scores.

All of the Payforit casinos on this list offer some form of responsible gambling tools, with deposit limits, session time reminders, and self-exclusion options (both temporary and permanent) as a minimum requirement.

Outside of casino-specific tools, Payforit lends itself well to responsible gambling, thanks to its daily PSA-regulated daily limits (£30 per day and per transaction) to manage your spending.

For additional support, visit BeGambleAware or call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. You can also visit our Responsible Gambling page for more resources.

Payforit Casinos UK – FAQs

• Is Payforit safe to use at online casinos?

No, Payforit is a deposit-only method. Phone billing infrastructure only supports charges, not credits. You must set up an alternative withdrawal method such as PayPal, bank transfer, or debit card before you can cash out winnings.
• Which UK mobile operators support Payforit?

All four major UK carriers support Payforit: EE, O2, Three, and Vodafone. They are co-owners of the Payforit framework. Most MVNOs using these networks, such as Tesco Mobile and GiffGaff on O2, are also compatible.

• What is the difference between Payforit and Boku?

Payforit is a UK-specific regulatory framework co-owned by EE, O2, Three, and Vodafone, governed by the PSA. Boku is a global mobile payment provider that operates through direct carrier agreements. Both enable phone bill deposits, but Payforit’s UK-only focus gives it deeper carrier integration and PSA consumer protections.

Final Thoughts: Are Payforit Casinos Right For You?

Payforit casinos are a great fit for casual mobile players who want a quick, secure way to deposit without touching their bank account or card details.

It’s also great for spending-conscious players who want to manage their money more effectively, thanks to the PSA-enforced transaction limits and mandatory SMS confirmation for every deposit.

Those points aside, Payforit isn’t a standalone solution. It’s deposit-only, which means you’ll always need a secondary payment method set up before you play, so you can actually cash out anything you win.

The £30 per-transaction and per-day cap as well as its limited acceptance means it’s quite a niche option that appeals to a specific type of player.

Still, if it sounds like Payforit casinos are up your street, our regularly updated list of the best Payforit casinos is a great place to start.

Every site has been tested with real money and scored against our FruityMeter, so you can be confident you’re playing somewhere that’s been properly put through its paces.
