Deadwood RIP Slot Review 2024

Few games from Nolimit City’s critically acclaimed catalogue stand out to players as much as their beloved Tombstone and Deadwood series. Its humble beginnings in Tombstone are a far cry from some of the sequels that followed, yet even it remains popular to devout followers of Nolimit City’s creations so far. Nothing but excitement is guaranteed, and expect nothing an unpredictable yet thrilling experience once again.

xNudge Wilds

Stacked Wilds that land partially in view will always nudge up or down to cover the entire reel, with each nudge increasing the Multiplier by +x1. Stacked Wilds can only appear on the 3 middle reels.

In the base game, several xNudge Wilds will add to each other for a total combined Multiplier. However, in Free Spin modes, several xNudge Wilds will multiply each other for a total combined Multiplier.

xSplit Wilds

Landing 2 Diamondback Scatters will activate xSplit Wilds. Once active, it will split itself and all other symbols on that reel into two, thus doubling the number of symbols on that reel.

The Hog Me Tight Scatter only appears on the 5th reel, counting as 2 symbols high and acting as a Wild. Upon landing, it will slice symbols to the left in the middle rows.

  • Reel 1 – The symbol in the middle row will be split.
  • Reels 2, 3, & 4 – Symbols in the two middle rows will be split.

Whenever an xNudge Wild is split, it will double the xNudge Wild Multiplier.

Quick Draw

Landing a Revolver Cylinder on reel 1 automatically triggers the Quick Draw feature. Quick Draw will randomly fire 3-6 times, depending on the number of bullets in the cylinder. Each shot doubles the symbol multiplier which is hit.

Shootout

Landing 2 Sheriff Badges on reels 2 and 4 triggers the Shootout Feature. Once active, all Low-paying symbols in the middle 3 reels will transform into Wilds.

xRIP

Any spin in the base game or Free Spins mode that generates combinations where the total payout is below the base bet triggers xRIP. When xRIP is triggered, there is no payout.

xBet 1

Chase the Showdown feature by increasing your bet by 1.5x. Sacrifice for a more brutal, but less rewarding base game and increase your probability to trigger Free Spins.

More than double your chance of triggering Redemption and Salvation Spins. This option also guarantees a Scatter symbol on the second reel. The payout for each symbol is not affected with xBet 1 active.

xBet 2

The ultimate Showdown is near when xBet 2 is active for an additional 14x your bet. Sacrifice for an even more brutal session, but be prepared to trigger Redemption and Salvation Spins more than 10 times more often.

This option guarantees Scatter symbols on reels 2 and 3. The payout for each symbol is not affected with xBet 2 active.

Bonus Buy

  • 5 Redemption Spins – 80x your bet
  • 6 Salvation Spins – 1,500x your bet
  • Lucky Draw 1 – (80% Redemption – 20% Salvation) – 364x your bet
  • Lucky Draw 2 – (50/50 Redemption and Salvation) – 790x your bet

Redemption Spins

Landing 3 Diamondback Scatters on the 3 middle reels in the base game triggers Redemption Spins, awarding 5 Free Spins.

If the Hog Me Tight Scatter hits at the same time, the round upgrades to Salvation Spins. During Free Spins, landing 3 RIP symbols awards an additional +5 Free Spins.

In Redemption Spins, the Win Multiplier is increased by x1-x4 via xNudge Wilds and will remain until the end of the round. The Win Multiplier will be multiplied by any other xNudge Wilds that hit.

You can upgrade to Salvation Spins by landing a Hog Me Tight Scatter on reel 5, where +1 additional Spin is awarded.

Conclusion

Deadwood RIP is a beautiful masterpiece and a merciless monster at the same time. Nolimit City giveth and taketh away with unapologetically brutal gameplay, and Deadwood RIP can feel especially brutal, as its sister slot felt. the xRIP feature isn’t so much a feature as it is a necessity to make the monster wins possible, and you need to be okay with that sort of risk if you’re in favour of such substantial potential,

At 100,000x the bet, Deadwood RIP isn’t quite as capable as Tombstone RIP is, but it’s still significantly more proficient than any game that isn’t a jackpot slot. The smaller potential is in no way disappointing as far as we’re concerned because of how significant it still is and if you’re a true slot connoisseur then the maximum possible win is secondary to the experience of actually enjoying it. Quick Draw, stands out as a new feature to the series, and the Shootout mechanic makes it feel more familiar to some of the other games we love so much. Nolimit City truly has done well to differentiate it enough from Tombstone RIP in a satisfactory way to make it feel very fresh.

Overall, Deadwood RIP was predictably superb, but the game was unpredictable and inventive at every turn to make it another new Nolimit City smash hit.
