Swedish game provider Play’n Go made the move to physical casinos across the UK.
In a deal that has been in the works for months, several of the provider’s popular titles were announced to have gone live in UK land-based casinos.
As a result of a partnership between Play’n Go and Genting, the games can enter selected UK locations. Genting or Genting Group is a company that owns many big hospitality venues and casinos in the UK.
Play’n Go titles are set to enter Genting locations in an organised rollout.
Which Play’N Go Games Have Hit UK Land Casinos?
13 games have been included in the deal, with Play’n Go’s most popular titles included in the rollout. Some of the games are:
- Book Of Dead.
- Rich Wilde.
- Buildin’ Bucks.
These games have already been in one land-based UK casino for six months, at Genting’s Resorts World Casino in Birmingham for trial runs.
Now, games have started to go live in some of the casino giants’ locations, including Genting’s Stratford, next to the Westfield shopping centre. However, the full rollout of the games is expected to be completed by December, with over 30 Genting’s locations implementing Play’n Go titles into their casinos.
Play’n Go is also a gaming giant in its own right, with over 400 game titles since its launch in 2005.
Johan Törnqvist, the co-founder of the provider, described the announcement as “historic” and called the decision to expand into land-based casinos “ambitious, innovative, and meticulously planned.”
Törnqvist hinted at the possibility of more Play’n Go titles reaching land casinos in the future, with plans for expansion appearing to be global.
Perhaps the success of this partnership could lead Play’n GO to strike similar deals with other casino operators in the future. Maybe Caesars Entertainment or MGM Resorts would strike a deal with Play’n Go in the future? Who knows!
Stuart Armstrong, Genting’s Product Director, said Play’n Go’s products are “attractive to players in land-based spaces” and expressed excitement over the rollout.
