A treat is coming to land casinos, because some Evolution Game titles will be adapted for land-based casinos.
The gaming provider giant, which was first established in 2006, has agreed to a partnership with game studio Gaming Arts alongside Bluhare Studios to adapt their games for physical casinos.
The game provider has been busy, recently announcing their work with Sneaky Slots. Now they’ve set their sites on the slot machines in casinos, where their titles will be adapted for.
The three-way collaboration seeks to bring together the well-known features of Evolution’s online titles with similar themes, mechanics, and branding in an accessible way for the physical casino.
Read on to find out more.
How Will The Collaboration Work?
The collaboration will work through utilising Evolution’s branding and Bluhare Studios’ expertise in land casinos to bring that experience to the physical casino. It has also been announced that the adaptations will include Gaming Arts’ MOD-EX slot feature.
Chief Product Officer at Evolution, Todd Haushalter, said of the collaboration: “Evolution is thrilled to be at the forefront of this shift. This collaboration allows us to bring our world-class IP to the incredibly talented team at Gaming Arts, and watching them work their land-based magic to adapt and reimagine our games has been truly inspiring”.
When And Which Games Will Come Out?
The first market to receive the new games will be in North America. It has been suggested that the earliest game releases may come in the last quarter of the year. While there is no official date for the game releases, we do know which titles will be first to be adapted.
Four titles will be adapted by Gaming Arts, and they include some of Evolution’s most popular releases to date.
Starburst and Divine Fortune will be reinvented into Starburst Supernova and Divine Fortune Ascension, sources say.
We don’t know much about whether the games will drastically change, but closer to the release date, we think there will be lots of marketing to answer this question.
Have Other Game Providers Adapted Their Games For Land Casinos?
While you may think the trend is to adapt traditional casino games for online, some casinos have tried to appeal to the old school market by adapting online games for land casinos. Back in 2023, Play’N Go introduced its popular slot game Book of Dead to the UK land casino market through betting chain William Hill.
It is not a common occurrence, because there is a larger and more accessible audience in online gambling now, but there is still a market for those who prefer the brick-and-mortar casinos.
Although that is all the information we have so far, stay tuned for updates on the Evolution and Gaming Arts collaboration.
