The reel is designed with 5-4-4-4-5 layout, and works using a ‘ways to win’ mechanic, of which there are 1600.

When you’re playing with ways to win, then symbols need only match from left to right consecutively, regardless of their position on the reel.

Symbols and Betting Options

The Pay table consists of 9 symbols, with Drogo taking his rightful place as top paying symbol.

Other premium symbols include 3 other Dragons, and low symbols are A, K, Q, J & 10. Wild symbols also exist, and substitute for all symbols except for the Bonus Scatter. Wild symbols only appear on reels 2, 3 & 4.

Stake options are extensive, catering for those entering the lair for a few coins, and those going in to take it all.

Landing some top symbols in the base game on consecutive lines can land you some nice wins, but the game really shines when you unlock its Re-spin and Bonus rounds.

Dragon Super Spin

Hit 4 matching symbols in all 4 corners of the screen to trigger the Dragon Super Spin Feature.

During this feature, the reels will spin and the goal is to fill the spaces with more Dragons of the same type, and every one that lands will remain on the screen until the end of the round.

Wins are awarded at the end of the round based on the total number of the symbols on the screen.

The paytable is shown on the screen during the Dragon Super Spin round, and the total win is calculated as a multiplier of the current bet.

An upgrade symbol can land during the round, which will double all pays on the paytable. The round will end when no more new Dragon symbols hit.

Any of the premium Dragon symbols can trigger the Super Spin, and landing Drogo will be the most rewarding. Landing 20-22 Drogo symbols will pay a massive 5000x, or 10000x if an upgrade symbol landed.

Dragon Super Spin is a really interesting and adrenaline filled feature, and something that really shows the quality and thought put into this game.

Free Spins

The bonus symbol is represented by a framed Crystal symbol. It will only appear on reels 1 and 5, and like the Dragon Super Spin, you’ll need them to land on all 4 corners to activate.

Before the round starts, a re-spin feature will occur, and you’ll need to land crystal symbols, this will determine the set up you’ll have going into the bonus round.

You’ll start with 3 re-spins. Every time a crystal lands, the spins will reset back to 3, and the crystal symbols you can land serve the following functions within the bonus.

• Green Crystal – This is the Free Spins crystal symbol, landing this adds a random number of Free Spins from 1 to 10.
• Red Crystal – This is the Sticky Wild Crystal, landing this will add from 1 to 5 Sticky Wilds, which will be added to the screen in random positions at the start of the Free Spins Round
• Blue Crystal – This is the Win Multiplier Crystal, which will add 1x or 2x to the win multiplier. This multiplier applies to the total of all spins in the Free Spins round.
• Purple Crystal – This is the Mystery Crystal, which adds a number of mystery symbols between 5 and 50 to the reels in the Free Spins round. During the round, all mystery symbols that hit will turn into the same random paying symbol, except for Wild.

Our Verdict

There’s so much to love about Drago Jewels of Fortune. The graphics and design are spot on, and the in-game features such as Dragon Super Spin and the Free Spins round is as exciting as they come…if you get that good set up.

It’s got that high volatility action that so many players love, with absolutely massive upside potential with a staggering maximum win of 48,000x. Those who enjoy mythical fantasy games will love it.

Despite all the praise, landing the features can be a little bit of a grind at time. But of course, this will vary from player to player, and on the day Drogo can either give it up easily, or not without a fight.

Overall, this game was thoroughly enjoyable, and ticks most of the boxes that gives a game good longevity and enjoyability.
