Hacksaw Gaming seek to take advantage of the success that was Chaos Crew with a game similar in gameplay, but not so similar in theme.
Forest Fortune is a million times less sketchy and gritty then Chaos Crew is, but is it just as exciting? Well to start with, Forest Fortune comes with a fixed jackpot of up to £3,000,000, something that not even Chaos Crew offered.
Relax and enjoy a scenic forest a world away from the alleyway of Chaos Crew, but don’t mistake the peace and tranquillity for a game that can’t kick off. As well as the jackpot prize of up to £3,000,000, players can also hope for a max win of 10,000x through normal gameplay.
Hacksaw Gaming are certainly a name to watch, especially of late. The turning point that was Cubes, as well as the games that ensued, like Chaos Crew and Cubes 2 proved that Hacksaw Gaming can make some really compelling games.
Will Forest Fortune prove to be as popular as Chaos Crew is? The statistics certainly suggest so.
In this Forest Fortune Slot Review, we’ll be delving deep into the woods to break down the key aspects of the game, as well as the stats to see if there is in fact fortunes within the Forest.
The Theme for Forest Fortunes would make anyone thing that this game is by no means related in any way to Chaos Crew.
In the background you’ll see a vibrant and sun-soaked Forest with a tranquil and reposeful vibe. The music adds further to the peaceful nature of the game with a serene and idyllic sound.
it’s pretty simplistic in a certain sense, and definitely not unique in the way that it’s the only game in the world with a scenic view such as this, but the design quality and graphics of the game are pretty good.
It’s not breath taking in the sense that you will load up the game and immediately want to stay, it doesn’t grab your attention quite like Chaos Crew did with it’s gritty underground theme, but you should definitely give Forest Fortune a chance, even if you’re not much of a nature lover.
It’s oddly interesting that a game with such a simplistic theme has a lot more to it than meets the eye. Looks can be deceiving as they say.
You’ll find that the betting options in Forest Fortune are more than adequate for every kind of player, with options as low as £/€0.20 per spin, as well as options that go up to £/€100 per spin.
With a fair amount of choice in the middle of the two, you can rest assured that Forest Fortune has an option to suit all budgets.
The highest paying symbol in the game is the Ladybug, followed by the Blue, Orange, Green and Yellow Beetle.
Lower paying symbols are comprised of the Strawberry, Grape, Blueberry, Mushroom and Acorn. There’s also a Wild symbol, this will substitute for all except for the Scatter symbol.
Forest Fortune takes a bit of a different direction to Chaos Crew with a Cluster Pays mechanic instead of pay lines. In order to form a win, you’ll need to match at least 5 of the same symbol within a cluster that connects either horizontally or vertically.
Some great hits can be obtained by forming big clusters, with a cluster of 15+ of the top symbol paying out 150x your stake.
To further increase the potential of the game, Hacksaw have also implemented a Wind Feature, which is triggered by the Wild Symbol
Every time a Wild lands on the reel, this feature will trigger.
The wind will blow in a random direction, and any and all Wild symbols on the grid will spread in that direction.
The Wild symbols will spread the same number of positions as there are Wild symbols in play.
This can be a confusing one to understand, but to give you an example of how it works…
If a Grid contains 2 Wilds, and the gust of wind blows to the left, both Wilds will spread twice to the left, leaving 6 Wilds on the grid.
Any Wins as a result of this feature will be calculated after the Wilds have finished spreading.
In the event that the entire grid is filled with Wilds, then you will win 1,000x. Not bad at all for the Base Game.
This feature is one of the areas where Forest Fortune is quite disparate compared with the gameplay of Chaos Crew. In fact, none of the Base Game is the same really, as it uses the Cluster Pays mechanic instead of Pay lines.
Differences start to be less obvious when you move on to the Free Spins round of Forest Fortune.
To trigger the Free Spins in Forest Fortune, you’ll need to land 3 or more butterfly symbols.
Like Chaos Crew, the game will start with 3 spins, and will continue until you get 3 non-winning spins in a row, at which point the bonus concludes.
Every time a winning symbol appears, the spins counter will be reset to 3.
Each reel has a number above it, which shows a total represented by a multiplier.
Winning symbols that land within the reel will affect the reel that it landed on, unless it’s a special symbol that affects all reels.
After 3 consecutive losses, the multipliers above each reel will add together to form a total multiplier, which is calculated to form a total win.
Forest Fortune Free Spins has a lot more at stake than the Free Spins in Chaos Crew did. Sure the total max multiplier is the same, but the fixed prize is something completely new, and it’s something that will be extremely sought after.
Those within jurisdictions that allow it will be able to buy the bonus for 100x your stake, granting you instant entry into Free Spins.
Forest Fortune Slot is yet to be released, and the release date is yet to be announced, we’ll keep you up to date with the latest as the information becomes available.
Forest Fortune will undoubtedly be available at most New Casinos upon release.
Forest Fortune is looking to be a very anticipated game. The stats are mind boggling, and the max fixed prize win and max multiplier win are both impressive figures.
Hacksaw have done a terrific job in taking the successful Chaos Crew, turning it into something both completely different and one in the same.
The theme is something very elegant and peaceful, and those that don’t read too much into the paytable of the game will be spinning away blissfully unaware of just what Forest Fortune is capable of.
As was the case in Chaos Crew, the bonus can sometimes result in tears, with meagre multipliers or the complete absence of Butterflys and Bees for 3 spins until the previously peaceful forest mercilessly boots you out of the Free Spins with a very low win to show for your effort.
That being said, under the right conditions, Forest Fortunes can absolutely perform. The fixed prize is the highlight statistic of the game, but due to the amount offered you can probably safely say that this amount is borderline unachievable for all but an extremely fortunate minority. But maybe you’re the lucky beneficiary of the Forest, who knows. They wouldn’t have implemented the feature if it wasn’t possible.
Regardless of your stance on the fixed prize, Forest Fortune caters to everyone, dreamers included.
One pretty dismal statistic of the game however is the RTP, which is pretty insanely low at 94.60%. For context, Chaos Crew had an RTP of 96.3%. This may matter to some, but not others, but whichever way you look at it, its a lot lower than most games.
Overall, Forest Fortune is a brilliant game, but the Forest can be as cruel as it is beautiful, so don’t go in expecting the fixed prize any time soon.
