Legacy of Oz Hyperspins from Triple Edge Studios brings us back to a world first introduced to us in 2018 by its predecessor, Book of Oz.
Book of Oz brought with it some classic Book style action, along with some innovative features in the form of the Respin feature, which allowed you to reroll individual reels at a cost. This feature was great for strategic play in instances where you landed 2 scatters and needed only one more, or if you were a symbol or two away from a full line of one of the higher paying symbols.

Legacy of Oz will have more of the same when it releases in July 2021, and the name itself may even hold some clues about how the game will differ from its predecessor.

Betting options have changed slightly in Legacy of Oz compared to before. In Book of Oz, you had the option to choose Coin Size and Coins, which would change the overall bet amount, In Legacy of Oz, Triple Edge Studios have opted for an easier bet option which does away with the somewhat unnecessary coin system. 

Betting options are vast too, with options that range from £/€0.10 per spin to £/50 per spin.

The Symbols in Legacy of Oz are another reminiscent throwback of the older slot. The Wizard is once again the highest paying symbol, and the Courage, Luck and Love (Blue, Purple and Red) Potions make up the other high paying symbols. 

Low paying symbols are Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10, The Book symbol returns once again as a Wild, which substitutes for any other symbol, and acts as a Scatter.

In terms of Legacy of Oz vs the hundreds of other Book Games out there, we’d say that Legacy of Oz offers a little bit more. The Hyperspins really shakes up the gameplay and it re-triggers much more frequently because it only requires 2 books in the Free Spins. 

In terms of statistics, both RTP and maximum win values look great at 96.11% and 5,000x respectively. 

It’s hard to deviate from favourites like Book of Ra or those that came after it like Book of Dead and Legacy of Dead, but Legacy of Oz has just as much potential, and frankly more to offer.
