Three Lucky Swedes

During any random spin in the base game, before the reels stop spinning, reels 2, 3 and 4 can randomly transform into Stacked Wild Miner symbols with an active Multiplier of x2, x3 or x4.

Mine & Melt Three Lucky Swedes Feature

Mine & Melt Free Spins

Landing 3 Bonus Scatters across the reels triggers the Bonus round, awarding 3 Respins. Alternatively, landing 4 Bonus Scatters across the reels triggers the Super Bonus round, awarding 4 Respins.

During the Bonus round, the reels will transform into a Grid where only Gold Nuggets and special symbols are in play. Gold Nuggets will land with a starting Bet Multiplier of x2.

Each time a new Gold Nugget symbol lands, it will lock into its position and the Respins meter will reset back to 3 (or 4).

Merge

Whenever 2 Gold Nugget symbols of the same Bet Multiplier are adjacent to one another, a random such pair is chosen to be Merged.

If the pair is Vertical, they will automatically merge downwards. A horizontal pair will automatically combine in a random Horizontal direction on the grid.

Once a merge has occurred, the other space is freed in either case and the merged symbol carries over the total Bet Multiplier for the pair.

Smeltdown

Whenever a Smeltdown symbol lands in view, all Nugget symbols are automatically multiplied by x2 in the regular Bonus and x4 in the Super Bonus.

Any future Nugget symbols that land will also be multiplied by the Smeltdown Multiplier.

  • Bonus RTP – 96.035%
  • Super Bonus RTP – 96.59%

Mine & Melt: Our Verdict

Mine and Melt looks rather humble in comparison to other high-octane Quickspin slots. Take Book of Inferno for example, the firey visuals make it more exciting at first glance, but the potential here would suggest that Mine & Melt is just as capable.

Mine and Melt takes things in a sort of ‘Money Train’ direction with its Free Spins mode, but with nowhere near as many modifiers. Merge and Smeltdown come in as substitutes for your standard payer, collector or sniper features, but to their credit, they’re interesting enough to make Mine & Melt a new experience, and a potentially fruitful one at that.

When the coals are at their hottest, Mine & Melt is capable of up to 5,504x the bet. It’s not quite ‘huge’ by today’s standards, but it’s respectable enough to make it well worth a spin.

Overall, Mine & Melt probably isn’t Quickspin’s best, but it certainly isn’t their worst by a long shot.
