Moon Princess Trinity Base Game

Moon Princess Trinity Base Game and Features

Moon Princess Trinity is a 5×5 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land adjacent to one another, either Horizontally or Vertically.

The minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.20% and a max win cap of 4,000x.

In terms of symbols, all High-paying regular symbols here fall to the 3 Princesses Storm, Love, and Star, or a combination of the 3. Low-paying symbols fall to Bells, Hearts, Stars, and Circles.

Each time a winning combination is formed, a Wild symbol will randomly be left behind, substituting for all High and Low-paying symbols in the paytable. Wilds are removed from the grid if no other symbols remain.

When a winning combination forms, all winning symbols will be removed from the grid and all remaining symbols will drop down to the bottom, filling all empty positions.

Win Multiplier

In random positions across the grid, you will notice Blue Frames. Forming a win on a highlighted position will automatically increase the Win Multiplier by +1.

Girl Power

During any non-winning spin, 1 of 3 Girl Power modifiers can trigger at random. The visible Princess character on the right side of the grid will perform her special Modifier in order to create a win.

  • Love – Transforms one set of symbols.
  • Star – Awards 1 or 2 Wild symbols.
  • Storm – Removes 2 sets of symbols.

Trinity

During any one spin, fully charging the Meter on the left side of the grid with Princess symbols will activate the Trinity Feature.

Once active, Love, Star, and Storm will perform their special Modifiers one after another during 1 Free Spin. Clearing the entire grid (minus Wilds) will automatically award an additional +1 Free Spin.

During the Trinity feature, the Win Multiplier does not reset between Free Spins.

Clear Grid

If you manage to clear the entire grid of symbols (excluding Trinity feature), you will be automatically awarded 50x your current bet.

Moon Princess Trinity: Our Verdict

Play’n GO has bestowed upon us a couple of version of Moon Princess since its inception, and they looked well…the same, and Moon Princess Trinity does too.

Remove the logo from the top of the screen and you’ve got 3 slots that look pretty identical, so we can’t really give them points for originality in this instance. However, we were understandably excited for Moon Princess Trinity. ‘Moon P’ has become one of those legendary games that withstood the test of time as a fond favourite as many years after its release. Most fade into irrelevance, but Moon Princess is eternal, and we were pretty interested to see what Love, Star and Storm are up to in the newest instalment.

Not even Rise of Olympus and its godly might or the Egyptian Sisters of the Sun could knock Moon P off its pedestal, but how does the newest fare?

We’re not sure we like it as much. Play’n GO removed the choice of Love, Star and Storm when clearing the grid, opting for one big trinity spin instead. More often than not, a trinity spin was how you triggered the bonus, so you’d see one at least in the original Moon Princess anyway. To get rid of the Free Spins round feels like a bit of a backwards move if you ask us, and the potential is lower than that of the original too.

4,000x is the maximum possible win in Moon Princess, so if given the choice, we think the original would be a better pick.
