Donut Division Slot Review
Fresh out of the academy, join Harry, Tom, and Roger in Hacksaw Gaming’s latest release, Donut Division!
Think you have what it takes to join the big leagues? Okay kid, grab your badge and gun, it’s time to catch bad guys in Donut Division. Your partners may not look like much, but they’ve sniffed out more crooks than sprinkles on a donut.
Donut Division lets you play detective, where you will run into nifty features and mechanics while earning a decent salary. Hacksaw Gaming has indulged us with more than donuts, through cartoon animations, lovable characters, and jazzy sound effects, similar to Fist of Destruction.
Quirky cop themes are not unusual in the iGaming industry, with top-tier providers such as Push Gaming and Inspired Gaming taking a stab at it in titles like Dino P.D and Cops N Robbers.
Knowing how much Hacksaw Gaming loves a new mechanic, it will be interesting to see what they’ve conjured up this time. Enough talking, it’s time to prove our value on the force – Let’s catch some bad guys!
Base Game & Features
Donut Division is a 6-reel, 5-row Video Slot with 19 active pay lines and varying bet sizes between £.€0.10 per spin and £.€100 per spin. Hacksaw Gaming has opted for a Medium Volatility rating, an overall RTP of 96.30%, and a generous max win cap of 12,500x your bet.
Creating winning sequences requires 3-6 matching symbols to land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. High-paying (character) symbols award wins between 0.2x and 5x your bet, whilst Low-paying (card suits) symbols range between 0.1x and 1x your bet. Finally, Wilds pay 5x your bet for 6-of-a-kind.
Gooey Guns and Gooey Wilds
When a Gooey Gun symbol hits, it will shoot Gooey Wilds to the leftmost side of the same row. After this, it will transform into an additional Gooey Wild. These symbols may also appear with an active Multiplier between x1 and x100, substituting for all paytable symbols.
All Gooey Wilds that are fired or transformed will receive the same Multiplier value as the gun. Multiplier values are combined into one value which is applied to all connecting Gooey Wilds on the same row.
The active Multiplier value from a row of Gooey Wilds cannot be applied more than once to a winning combination, regardless of how many winning symbols are on that row.

Warehouse
Awards 3 Refilling Lives. In this round, all paytable symbols are removed, leaving only dead and special symbols in play. Please note, that dead symbols are non-paying and have no other effect.
Each spin consumes 1 Life and has 2 Flashlight Charges. Each time a special symbol is revealed, your total Lives refill to 3. After 3 consecutive spins without a refill, the round will end.
The two Flashlight Charges reveal a hidden symbol from darkness on the grid. With every spin, the flashlights will shine on random positions of the grid to reveal a symbol in the chosen position. If a special symbol is revealed, it will result in a special effect, while the flashlight will illuminate a new position without consuming a flashlight charge or life.
The special symbols in effect are as follows:
- Adding Multipliers: x1, x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x7, x8, x9, x10, x15, x20, x25, x50, x100
- Multiplying Multipliers: x2, x3, x4, x5, x10
- Battery: When in view, these symbols cause the flashlight beam to temporarily expand to a 3×3 area, revealing all symbols within the highlighted area. Battery symbols can only appear on reels 2 and 5, and rows 2, 3, and 4.
- Light-Switch: When in view, this symbol temporarily lights up the entire grid, causing all hidden symbols to be revealed and collected.
- Non-Paying (dead): Revealing a dead symbol will cause the flashlight to switch off, consuming 1 Flashlight Charge. When both flashlight charges are consumed, a life is used up.
Please note, that the 2 beams from flashlights can never shine in the same position. The left flashlight can only shine on reels 1 and 3, while the right flashlight shines on reels 4, 5, and 6.
Super Warehouse
The super version of Warehouse guarantees the value of all Adding Multipliers are a minimum of x5 or higher.
Stakeout
Stakeout Free Spins maintains the mechanics of the base game with an increased chance of landing Gooey Gun symbols and higher Multiplier values. Landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters awards an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins respectively.
Super Stakeout
When the first Gooey Gun appears in Super Stakeout, +1 Gooey Gun is guaranteed to land on the same row on every subsequent spin until the end of the feature. Landing 2 and 3 FS Scatters awards an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins respectively.
Our Verdict
Donut Division is a solid offering with a light-hearted theme, promising features, and rewarding statistics, as is the case with all Hacksaw Gaming releases. Hacksaw Gaming has a way of tying in their themes with clever feature names and lovable characters, always giving 100% to each new release.
In the base game, Gooey Gun symbols transform into Gooey Wilds which spread across their row, similar to Wild Rows in Beam Boys. Occasionally, these symbols may conjure up Multipliers between x1 and x100, which are applied to wins that run through them.
Another Hacksaw Gaming speciality is the use of multiple Free Spins rounds. Usually, your Free Spins mode is depicted by the number of Scatters that land, however, in Donut Division, you’re in charge of choosing your own Free Spins mode, with the addition of Super versions.
Warehouse Free Spins is unlike your typical Hold & Win round, even if it does involve refilling lives. After iSoftBet ran this particular feature into the ground a few years back, we were relieved to find that Hacksaw Gaming had manipulated it in a way that makes it unique from all other Hold & Win rounds.
Statistically, Donut Division looks to be fairly solid, boasting a Medium Volatility rating, an overall RTP of 96.30%, and a generous max win cap of 12,500x your bet. This, combined with multiple Free Spins modes and an exciting base game feature makes Donut Division a standout addition to Hacksaw Gaming’s portfolio.
