Pragmatic Play have taken us on Cowboy adventures with Wild West Gold, we’ve voyaged the Seas with Release the Kraken and we’ve indulged in Sweet Bonanza so much that we need fillings…This time, Pragmatic Play are back with a healthier alternative, It’s Fruit Party Slot.
Let’s Get Fruity
Pragmatic Play has gone with a relatively simple theme for this UK slot. Green hills and trees fill the backdrop but apart from that, there isn’t really much worth mentioning in the way of visuals.
The Music however is superb with an upbeat and feel-good soundtrack, the sound of a steel pan really adds a nice feel to the game.
If the day has taken its toll and you’re looking for a game to unwind and have fun with, then Fruit Party might be for you.
Fruit Party is set on a 7×7 grid and works on a Cluster Pays mechanic, and betting options range from a minimum of 0.20 to a maximum of 100.
Between these two boundaries are a wide array of other stakes to choose from to cater to players of all kinds.
Players who aren’t based in the UK will have the option for a bonus buy feature for 100 times your stake. Safe to say this slot goes perfectly with us at Fruity slots.
The Base Game of Fruit Party
Fruit Party slot has a total of 7 Symbols. In order of highest to lowest paying these are Strawberry, Orange, Apple, Grape, Plum, Star and Heart.
No Wild symbols exist in the game, which is a little disappointing but then again, this game doesn’t require consecutive wins to trigger free spins like other grid slots might.
As stated earlier, the game works on a cluster pays mechanic, and 5 identical symbols that connect horizontally and vertically will be needed to form a win.
As you’ll usually see with any cluster pays slot, the game also has a tumble feature which will fill empty spaces caused by wins with new symbols, giving you a chance to hit multiple wins on a single spin. Tumbles will continue until no more winning combinations exist on the grid.
Random Multiplier Feature
To get players a little more excited at the potential of bigger base hits comes the Random Multiplier feature.
Every symbol involved in a winning combination has a chance of carrying a 2x multiplier, the total win of the cluster will be calculated and multiplied by the multipliers within the winning cluster for a maximum potential to hit 256x.
It’s always welcome as far as players are concerned to have these kinds of features within the base game, a big combination of strawberries with multipliers could be very lucrative for your balance.
Free Spins Trigger at Fruit Party
Free Spins are triggered when 3 or more scatters land on the grid and will award 10 spins. More Scatters will award more spins, 4, 5, 6 and 7 scatters can bag you 11, 12,13 and 14 spins. These are not the same type of free spins as you get with free spins no deposit!
The bonus is very similar to the base game itself in terms of mechanics. In free rounds, not only can symbols carry a 2x multiplier, but they can also carry a 4x multiplier.
The maximum win still sits at 256x, however, the 4x will make this more easily achievable. Thankfully, symbols that carry multipliers are also more frequent within the free games.
It can certainly be exciting to see when a cluster lands full of multipliers, and it’s certainly a beautiful sight when a winning cluster filled with multipliers lands on the screen.
The game also has a chance of re-triggering, to obtain these extra spins you’ll need 3 or more scatters and will award the same amount of spins as it would when you initially trigger the bonus.
Fruit Party has a maximum win limited to 5,000x the total bet in both the base game and free spins.
If this is achieved within the bonus then the round will end and any remaining spins are forfeit; though we can’t imagine you’d be too upset to relinquish these additional spins if you’d just landed 5,000x.
Our Verdict Of Fruit Party
Fruit party may not be jam-packed with quirky features and enhancers you might see in other cluster pays games…you definitely won’t see an incision sweep the screen full of wilds, or a demolition clear the screen to make way for high paying symbols, but it’s hard to be mad at.
Fruity Party is a feel-good game with a classic fruity theme and a modern cluster mechanic with good potential.
The multipliers within the base game and the bonus make it interesting enough to give it a good go, and you’ll feel relaxed when doing so…. It’s almost just worth having on in the background for the music.
It’s set by Pragmatic Play themselves as high volatility, so you’ll probably want to come in with a larger balance or a sprinkle of good fortune if you want to persist and hit big.
It’s always sad when Wilds are missing from a game, and it would have definitely been a symbol we’d have welcomed with open arms, but what player wouldn’t welcome something that might tip the scales in their favour?
Overall it may not be a favourite, and it may not go down in the hall of fame, but it does the basics well and you’ll enjoy giving it a go.
