Gerard’s Gambit Slot Review 2024 – Play’n GO
Gerard’s Gambit from Play’n GO is the latest in their portfolio, and it’s very imaginative, to say the least.
Gerard Gambit is a member of the renowned Wilde family, but he’s a bit of a black sheep. Gerard is however undeterred by his lack of glory compared to his relative Rich and he’s setting off on a ‘journey of discovery and redemption’ to reclaim the honour of his family name.
In Play’n GO’s latest foray, we’re travelling across the globe with Gerard in search of illustrious riches. We’ll hit Mexico, the Aztecs, Egypt, Greece and everything in between as we explore hidden and forgotten temples, shrines and pyramids in a slot where the game changes as the location does.
There’s much to cover in Gerard’s Gambit, so buckle up for an experience unlike anything you’ve seen from Play’n GO before.

Gerard’s Gambit – Our Verdict
Gerard’s Gambit was certainly a journey. Play’n GO could have been a little more imaginative with the locations, if we’re honest. We visited Egypt 3 times, and all other locations at least twice.
Regardless, we thought Gerard’s Gambit was a touch of brilliance from Play’n GO. The game evolves as you travel, and travelling from location to location isn’t as hard as you might think. It starts off very simple with requirements such as straight wins to move on, and as you journey through the world you’ll unlock different features, and more reels, paylines and symbols.
The requirements for triggering certain bonus rounds correlate directly to how many reels you have to work with. When the Bonus and Free Spins rounds are introduced, you need only 1 symbol to trigger them. The requirement grows as you travel onwards, which arguably makes it harder, but so do the reels, and the potential grows with each location.
You’ll need to get to at least location 7 for a chance at the maximum win, which is 3,000x. Gerard’s Gambit could have been significantly more appealing with a higher maximum win cap, but nonetheless, we find it hard not to commend them for their ingenuity with this one.
Overall, Gerard’s Gambit might take a little bit of commitment, and the reward for grinding it all the way isn’t exactly substantial by today’s standards, but it’s something different, and it’s rather entertaining to explore with the black sheep of the family Gerard Wilde.
